Chapter 4: The Dragon's Awakening

The Hunters' Shock

Blood rained from the sky.

Dozens of S-Rank wyverns—creatures that should have required full teamwork to defeat—had been annihilated in an instant.

The other hunters were frozen.

Even Thomas Andre, the Strongest Hunter in the World, found himself gripping his fists.

What the hell had just happened?

He had fought Kamish before.

He had witnessed true monsters.

And yet…

This one man had just erased an entire wave of high-tier beasts without even trying.

Go Gun let out a sigh, stretching his neck.

"Well? Are we just going to stand around?" he asked, glancing at the frozen hunters. "Or are we moving forward?"

They snapped out of their trance, some of them instinctively taking a step back.

Thomas narrowed his eyes.

This Korean hunter...

Just what the hell are you, Go Gun?

Deeper into the Dungeon

The deeper they went, the stronger the pressure became.

Unlike other S-Rank dungeons, this place felt alive.

The ground trembled as they walked. The sky growled, as if watching them.

Then—

BOOM!

The land erupted.

A monstrous, obsidian-colored dragon emerged from beneath the earth, its body covered in jagged black scales, eyes burning like molten gold.

It wasn't Kamish.

But it was something close.

A second-generation Disaster-Class Dragon.

The hunters scattered.

"This is bad!" one of them shouted. "That thing's giving off mana readings close to Kamish himself!"

Panic spread.

Even the strongest hunters could feel it—

They were not prepared for this.

But Go Gun?

He simply grinned.

"Perfect," he whispered.

SHING!

In an instant, he vanished.

No teleportation magic.

No mana surge.

Just pure, absolute speed.

Before anyone could process it, Go Gun was above the dragon.

One hand gripping Yamato.

The dragon turned its massive head toward him, roaring in fury.

But it was too late.

Go Gun's eyes gleamed.

"Die."

SLASH.

No grand explosion.

No unnecessary movements.

Just one clean cut.

The dragon didn't even get the chance to scream.

It simply… ceased to exist.

A black line split the air.

Then—

BOOM!

The entire sky cracked apart.

Not just space.

Reality itself had been severed.

And the dragon?

It had been erased from existence—down to its very atoms.

Gone.

Silence

No one moved.

No one spoke.

Because what had just happened…

Should not have been possible.

An S-Class Disaster Dragon had just been erased in a single swing.

It wasn't just overwhelming power.

It was absolute dominance.

Thomas Andre clenched his fists, sweat dripping down his forehead.

For the first time in his life…

He felt like an insect.

Go Gun landed lightly on the ground, barely even looking at the aftermath.

"Tch." He sheathed Yamato. "I was hoping it'd last longer."

The hunters stared.

Go Gun turned back to them, tilting his head.

"...What?" he asked.

"Are we moving, or not?"

Thomas let out a shaky breath.

For the first time in years—

He wasn't sure if he was the strongest one here anymore.

And they still hadn't reached the final boss.
