Chapter 15 - Chapter 15

Zain's POV

I'd had enough of her little antics. I did like her, but she wasn't my mother—she had no right to scold me or raise her voice at me. I was furious that she came to my school and made a scene. Now I'd have to explain this situation to Dana and the boys. The guys knew that Xhani wasn't anything serious and that I was just starting to get to know her, but Dana was different. She'd been around since day one, and I didn't want to lose her. Dana knows me best. She understands what I want most in life and can provide it for me. But she also knows I don't love her. I just promised her I wouldn't fool around with another girl if she kept giving me what I want.

I left Xhani behind, confused. I didn't have time for this. I also knew that by doing this, she'd have no choice but to question herself—and she wouldn't question me anymore.

When I got back to the stadium, the teacher was already there. Dana saw me and ran over, wrapping her arms around my neck and pecking my cheek.

In an excited tone, she said, "Oh, class is canceled, so we can go home for the day."

"Okay, great," I replied, sounding disinterested and walking away.

"Wait a minute, not so fast," she said, yanking me back by the wrist.

"What?" I asked, clearly annoyed now.

"Was that the same girl you had a one-nighter with? Why was she here?" she whispered, making sure nobody else could hear.

"It's none of your business, princess," I said, pulling my arm free.

I returned to the boys, and they were already talking about Xhani.

Liam, my best friend, smirked. "Zain, you lucky bastard. She's even hotter in real life. Can I get a taste of her once you're done with her?"

All the other guys laughed at Liam's remark. I didn't respond and chose to ignore him.

Jonson, another classmate, chuckled. "Zain, do you think she'd let us gang-bang her?" Once again, they all burst out laughing.

I didn't know why, but their comments were making me furious. I knew I didn't love Xhani, so why was I feeling possessive? I balled my hands into fists and glared at everyone. They fell quiet, glancing at each other nervously.

"Oh, come on, Zain. Don't tell me you're falling for her," Liam teased.

"I don't love her," I growled. "But she's my used-up doll, and she'll stay that way. So keep your filthy comments to yourselves."

They all looked shocked.

"Oh, come on, mate. Let me have a little taste of her. I want that sexy ass on my face," Jonson smirked again, laughing loudly and winking at the rest.

That was it. I'd had enough. I wasn't sure what came over me, but I couldn't hold back. I curled my fist and punched Jonson straight in the face. He collapsed, clutching his mouth, with a trickle of blood running from his lip. The other guys rushed to help him, but I glared daggers at him.

"What the fuck is wrong with you, Zain?" Jonson yelled, getting up and wiping blood from his lips.

"I told you to keep her out of your dirty mouth. You should've listened," I roared back.

"Does anyone else want to keep talking about her?" I threatened, turning to look around. No one dared say a thing.

Seeing them all go quiet, I turned on my heel and walked away.

Heading into the locker room, I slowly approached my locker and pressed my forehead against it, taking deep breaths.

"What have you done, Zain?" I muttered under my breath.

"I don't love her, so why am I losing my cool over her?" I kept mumbling.

Finally, I lifted my head, grabbed my bag, and walked out. I didn't bother changing. I just needed to leave.

Stepping outside, I realized it was raining hard. The sky was dark, and the drops were bigger than usual. The wind was rough, too. I glanced toward my bike in the parking lot and noticed that Xhani's car was parked next to it.

I walked out into the rain, and within seconds, I was drenched. Breaking into a run, I reached her car. Peering through the passenger window, I saw her lost in thought. I yanked open the passenger door and slipped inside, avoiding her gaze.

"Drive," I ordered, staring out the window.
