The ride to the cinema was the longest Marcus had ever
driven, he wanted to get there so bad but the traffic was the arrow fashioned
against him, after about 45mins of maneuvering and cussing, he finally made it
to the cinema and texted Lade.
"I'm here, where are you?
..... the sound of her phone buzzing brought her out of
her nervous thoughts of "do I look okay" " would he like my outfit" "is it too
simple" "should I have worn make up"
She checked her phone and it was a text from him, the
content of the text made her more nervous, she was hoping to get there first so
he wouldn't have to see her walk in fidgeting.
Almost there, she replied.
Okay, can't wait to see you(smiley face emoji) Marcus replied
and got out of his car and leaned on it waiting for her.
Ten minutes later, Lade arrived at the cinema, paid
her Uber and got out all nervous and shaky, just then Marcus looked up at the
sound of a car in the driveway and his eyes settled on the brightest shade of
yellow he'd ever seen, accentuating the curves of the most beautiful girl he'd
ever seen. He couldn't take his eyes off
her as she walked gracefully towards him and it took everything for him not to
run towards her and give her the tightest hug.
He leaned back and took in all her beauty and for the
first time, he appreciates the beauty of a natural face, she had the smallest
earrings on and a really tiny almost invisible chain, her yellow dress, the
brightest shade he had ever seen, and oh her signature vanilla and lavender, he
closed his eyes for a moment and smiled.
Even in her nervous state, Lade couldn't help but
admire his simple but classy look, a nice T-shirt paired with a clean jean and
a pair of sneakers, just then her nervousness dropped a bit as he also opted
for a simple outfit. She walked towards him and he smelled heavenly, a wisp of
woody musk and chocolate.
"Sorry I kept you waiting, she said shakily
Marcus noticed the nervousness in her voice and
smiled.
It's okay, it's a gentleman thing to wait for your
lady, he smiled while pulling her into an embrace so she feels more relaxed and
it worked.
The hug came as a shock for Lade but she found herself
relaxing into his embrace and his smell sent a message of " I got you", she
hugged him back and smiled. He pulled back with a big grin on his face and said
" shall we my lady?
Lade smiled and said "we shall".
They walked into the cinema holding hands and laughing.
