Chapter 1 - 1

Mary looked at her family once more. She could do this for them. No matter the stories she had heard from people she knew she could make it if she believed in God. This five people believed in her so she had to believe in her self. She didn't know what the road ahead would hold for her but if she stay she would die and if she leave she didn't know what was ahead so she choose to look ahead. She bid her mother, two small sisters and her two sons good bye as she walked to the airport.

First time in the airport, she followed what everyone was doing. First she was told to place her luggage which was only a bag pack on the floor as the rest of the people did so. Including the European. A trained K-9 dog sniffed through the bag and when it stopped on her bag for a couple of sniffs she was scared. After a while the dog left and continued with it sniffing. After the dog scan, Mary was led to another counter where her documents were scanned and verified. She only took a few minutes before they asked her her next of kin which she said her mother. She after the scanning she was told to go to the laggage counter which she did and had her luggage checked and a stamp placed on top showing where she was going. The bag pack was whisked away and she was told to move on the next place. All this was new to her but she stayed strong and followed just like every other person. After a while she was taken to a body scanner where her whole body was scanned and when they deamed her safe enough she was given her belongings and told to wait for her flight. She read the boarding pass.

"Qutar airways...seat no 16i...departure time 06:30 pm arrival time 12:30am'

As she read someone tapped her. She turned to find a girl, almost her age with a smile on her face looking at her.

"Going to Saudi too?"

She asked and Mary nodded.

"You?"

The girl nodded.

"Which airplane are you using?"

She asked as they walked to terminal 10 which was written on her boarding pass.

"Qutar airways.."

The girl nodded

"Me too..."

She said smiling.

"Am Alice and you?"

"Am Mary..."

They both smiled at each other and both stopped when they reached terminal 10.

"Guess we are going to go together...which seat no are you?"

Mary looked at her boarding pass to confirm.

"16i"

She said and Alice smiles at her.

"I guess we are seat mates I am 16h"

Mary smiled. This girl was talkative and vocal which had actually successfully earned them some glares and stares but the two didn't care.

"I wish we find good homes."

Mary nods, that's all she had been praying for a peaceful home where she could work in peace for the next two years and ho back to her country still alive and kicking. The stories told about Saudi weren't that welcoming or soothing.
