Chapter 2 - 2

"passenger flying Qutar airways, flight no 145 to Saudi Arabia ..."

The woman on the speaker gently speaks and the two who are now friends listen carefully.

"That's our flight, let's go..."

Alice says happily which make mary smile. Everyone needs a little sunshine in their lives and Alice was a sunshine in Mary's life.

"I can't wait to reach there..."

Alice was positive which was the opposite of what Mary felt. To her she only wished to find a good home, work and go back to her kids after.

"Give me your number, sj when we reach there we can be talking."

Mary nodded reading her number out for her. She knew she had to have someone to talk to when she is there and Alice seemed like a good listener.

They started sat silently after being verified and said nothing as they waited for the airplane to start being boarded. From where they were sitted they could see the plane they were to fly with. It was massive and Mary was surprised of how big it was. She had never seen one in real life before but now it was so close to her.

"They look small when they are high in the sky."

Alice said and Mary just nodded.

"Why don't you talk a lot?"

Mary smiled.

"Well am an introvert...is that explains, I am not a social butterfly like you...'

Alice smiled at her.

"That's okay...I will talk and you listen...but when we reach there and you have a problem, just talk to me, okay?"

Mary nodded. The heavens must have felt pity on her to grant her such a person like Alice.

They talked for a while before the plain started being boarded and they walked in following the rest as they looked for their chairs. When they found them they both sat and carefully put on their seat belt. After a half hour or so the plane door was shut and the screens on the front seats lighted up and started to give instructions on the plane and safety precautions to adhere to. Mary listened carefully even though she had already read the pamphlet she had found in the seat pocket. After a whole ten minutes of briefing, the pilot announced that the plain is about to take of and that everyone should have their seat belt on.

As the plain drove on the airport strips getting ready to fly Mary and Alice held each others hand as it finally spread it wings flying above the houses and making them seem so tiny. They were finally out of the Jomo Kenyatta international airport and of to the unknown lands for greener pastures.
