Chapter 3 - 3

Mary is scared, scared to venture in to a world of unknown. She doesn't know if she will find good things or bad. She is scared to be treated badly by the Arabs but she recalls the promise she made to herself that she woild take care of her family and she gets courage. Courage to face any thing that lies beyond the red sea. She choose this, she choose to go to Saudi and she wasn't backing out now that she was almost there. It is not like she would have a choice to back down.

Somewhere along the way, Mary gets tired of looking outside and sleeps after a nice meal that she received from the plane. Before she falls asleep, she turns to Alice who looked like she didn't have a care in the world, if only Mary was as optimistic as Alice was.

"Lady and gentlemen please fasten your seat belts as we start to descend on damman airport..."

Mary wakes up and looks out the window. She can see lights. She turns and wakes Alice up as everyone in the plane start to put on n their seat belt as the airport starts being visible. She was finally here, no backing out now. It took them almost twenty minutes tk finally land and when they landed. Mary stood up, stretching her legs as Alice followed suit. They both got out of the airport and followed everyone else as they got verified. With each persons document being gone through again and stamped to make sure they were allowed to enter the country. After the check, the two new friends went to collect their luggage and later as they walked out they were both whisked away by their agent not given even time to say goodbye. Mary was alone again. She wanted to go with Alice but now she couldn't. She had her own path and if God granted them live they would meet again after their contract was over.

The journey to the boarding house was only about thirty minutes. When she reached there she was asked to sleep and come the next day, she would be taken to her working place by her boss who would come for her. She nodded and followed the young lady back to the house where she was given a place to sleep and small food.

Mary didn't complain, this wasn't her home, she took the small food and ate, at least she wasn't hungry anymore and after eating she thanked the lady and slept. She needed to find a way to tell her mother she had arrived now that her phone wasn't working with the new range. But that she would think in the morning. She lay down and sleep overtook her and soon she was in the Dreamland.
