I the great Aurelia shall help you humans all about it. A neyris has an approximately 2-week delay before fully opening
it sends hordes of monsters wave after wave at a total of 25 waves with 2 Boss monsters. If all were killed
The neyris would be closed for 1 month before opening again. To help you humans to survive I shall grant you blessings
each person would get blessings according to their fighting style and tactics"
Many people were afraid. Some thought
"What is the great land? Blessings? it doesn't make sense"
As if to answer those questions the voice could be heard again
"As many humans know Video games are mostly popular among teenagers and many adults have a system where you can level up and raise stats to earn skills.
I shall grant you that. I shall grant strength to you humans so you can survive. In return, I ask of 3 of you humans to become my "Avatars"
per year. Avatars are like characters you control when you play games. The great land has many other powerful beings like me. They would probably ask for all of humanity to become avatars
But I am kind I only ask for 3. Avatars are a great resource to us gods as the great land is in a constant state of war. Avatars hold their god's powers they are mainly used as soldiers for the wars"

The sky cracked open, An eerie blue light across the world.
From the sky dark shapes plummeted to the ground—monsters, each more terrifying than the last.
Many people were so scared they started running like mad mans
The monsters as soon as they touched the ground went on a massacre killing anything that moves
Their superhuman strength and size gave them the advantage
Soon the military arrived gunshots could be heard all around the cities
Not even guns could harm them

About 46% of the population died in the very first Neyris
Most of the people who died were in the military or worked for the government, leaving them powerless.
Because of the loss of the government, The monster hunters took their roles. The religion Aurora took over.
As the first wave of monsters died people earned their blessings
After the first horde people used their blessings to survive
Using their blessing was as easy as breathing it felt like a memory they had forgotten had been recovered
When the first horde was over a voice was heard
"Time left until 2nd wave: 24 Hours"
People who survived searched the monster's corpses they found that
The monster's corpses could be used as materials
A new religion started it was called Aurora
Many jobs were invented after the incident "Monster hunter, Craftsman, Researcher, and many more"
People would kill others off to have more food and resources in this current world.
The fewer people alive the better the odds of survival
People's everyday life changed dramatically
People would hunt monsters for materials craft weapons and armor even cook the monster's corpses for meat.
People would evacuate in a large area before the neyris opened and monster hunters would prepare to kill the monsters.
There were ranks among the Monster hunters.
Bronze, silver, gold, diamond, adamantine, and the strongest divine rank with only 1 person ever achieving the divine rank
As most of the population died internet and many other facilities were gone
Buildings were now just ruins and pillars of stone.

A crowd of people gathers screams can be heard
"KILL HIM KILL THE BURDEN WE CAN BARELY SURVIVE OURSELVES, HE DOESNT EVEN HAVE A BLESSING"
A 14-year-old man can be seen running with a sword stabbing between his chest he thinks.

The crowd of people reach him
An old man from the crowd screams
"YOU BRAT, YOU WERE DESTINED TO BE KILLED EVEN AURELIA DIDNT GIVE YOU A BLESSING"
The Muscular dude pulls the sword out of his chest and points it at his neck
The old man says
"You're nothing but dead weight. The gods abandoned you, and so will we."
The muscular dude then gets ready to slice the neck off in one swift motion
