Zerthon made his way down to the basement, his sword still clutched in his hand. He had defeated Black Steps, but he knew that the true enemy was still out there. As he reached the bottom of the stairs, he saw Tessie huddled in the corner, her eyes wide with fear.
"Tessie," Zerthon said, rushing to her side. "Are you okay?"
Tessie nodded, her eyes welling up with tears. "Y-yes," she stuttered. "I was so scared. I thought I was going to die."
Zerthon pulled Tessie into a tight hug, holding her close as she sobbed. He knew that she had been through a traumatic experience, and he was determined to keep her safe.
Just as Zerthon was starting to calm Tessie down, he heard a faint noise coming from outside. It sounded like the sound of horses' hooves, followed by the clanging of steel.
Zerthon's eyes narrowed, his grip on his sword tightening. He knew that the noise could only mean one thing: more enemies were on the way.
Suddenly, the door to the windmill burst open, and a figure strode in. It was Naelyria, her sword drawn and a look of determination on her face.
"Zerthon," she said, her eyes scanning the room. "I see you've defeated Black Steps. Well done."
Zerthon nodded, his eyes locked on Naelyria. "Thanks," he said. "But we're not out of the woods yet. I think more enemies are on the way."
Naelyria's eyes narrowed, her grip on her sword tightening. "Then let's get ready," she said. "We'll defend this windmill to the death."
Just as Naelyria finished speaking, another figure appeared in the doorway. It was Omirnn, his massive frame filling the entire doorway.
"Ah, Naelyria," he said, his voice booming. "I see you're here. Good. We have a lot of work to do."
Naelyria's eyes rolled, a look of exasperation on her face. "Omirnn, what are you doing here?" she asked.
Omirnn shrugged, his massive shoulders rolling. "I heard there was a battle going on," he said. "I didn't want to miss out on the fun."
Zerthon's eyes widened, a look of surprise on his face. He had never seen Omirnn in battle before, but he had heard stories about the giant's incredible strength.
"Well, you're just in time," Zerthon said, a grin spreading across his face. "We're about to face off against a group of enemies."
Omirnn's face lit up, a look of excitement on his face. "Excellent," he said. "Let's go crush them."
With Omirnn and Naelyria by his side, Zerthon felt a surge of confidence. He knew that they could face whatever enemies were coming their way.
Together, the three of them stood ready, their swords drawn and their hearts pounding with anticipation. They knew that the battle ahead would be fierce, but they were determined to emerge victorious.
As they waited, the sound of horses' hooves grew louder, and the clanging of steel echoed through the air. Zerthon's eyes narrowed, his grip on his sword tightening.
It was time to face whatever enemies were coming their way.
