Chapter 30 - Chapter 30: The Phoenix God's Revelation

Zerthon stood before the phoenix god, his mind reeling with questions. Why had he been chosen to wield the phoenix god's power? What did it mean to be the wielder of such immense power?

The phoenix god gazed at Zerthon with piercing eyes, as if seeing right through to his very soul. And then, in a voice that echoed in Zerthon's mind, the phoenix god spoke.

"Zerthon, you have been chosen for a reason," the phoenix god said. "A reason that goes back many years, to a time when you were just a child."

Zerthon's mind was filled with confusion. What could the phoenix god possibly mean?

"I'm talking about the day you ate the god seed," the phoenix god continued. "Do you remember that day, Zerthon?"

Zerthon's eyes widened as memories flooded back. He had been just a child, goblins attacked the village and been killed, when he had stumbled upon a strange, glowing seed. Without thinking, he had eaten the seed, and suddenly, he had been filled with an incredible energy.

But that energy had come at a cost, He trained and trained And yet, somehow, he had survived.

"It was my power that saved you, Zerthon," the phoenix god said. "My power, coursing through the god seed, that brought you back from the brink of death."

Zerthon's mind was reeling. He had always wondered why he had survived from the line of death.

"But why did you choose me?" Zerthon asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Because, Zerthon, you have a special gift," the phoenix god replied. "A gift that allows you to harness my power, to wield it to its full potential."

Zerthon thought back to the crystal orb, and how it had reacted to his emotions. He realized that the crystal orb had been the key to unlocking the phoenix god's power.

"And the crystal orb?" Zerthon asked.

"Ah, yes," the phoenix god said. "The crystal orb was the final piece of the puzzle, Zerthon. With the orb's power, you were able to unlock my full potential, to become the wielder of my power."

Zerthon felt a surge of energy and determination. He knew that he had been given a great gift, and he was determined to use it to fulfill his destiny.

"I won't let you down," Zerthon said, his voice firm.

The phoenix god gazed at Zerthon with piercing eyes, and then, in a voice that echoed in Zerthon's mind, spoke.

"I know you won't, Zerthon," the phoenix god said. "You are the chosen one, the wielder of my power. Together, we will bring light and justice to a world that sorely needs it."

And with that, the phoenix god's vision faded, leaving Zerthon standing alone in the backyard. But he was not alone for long. Naelyria and Omirnn were by his side, their eyes filled with wonder and awe.

"What happened?" Naelyria asked.

Zerthon took a deep breath, trying to process everything that had just happened.

"I'm the wielder of the phoenix god's power," Zerthon said, his voice firm. "I'm the chosen one."

Naelyria and Omirnn stared at him in shock, but then, slowly, they nodded.

"We're with you, Zerthon," Naelyria said. "Whatever lies ahead, we'll face it together."

Zerthon smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude and determination. He knew that the road ahead would be fraught with danger, but he also knew that he was not alone. He had Naelyria and Omirnn by his side, and together, they would face whatever lay ahead.
