Zerthon's instincts were screaming at him that something was wrong. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but he knew that he had to find out what was happening.
He quickly finished his training and set off towards the school, his mind racing with thoughts of Tessie. He had been thinking about her a lot lately, wondering when he would see her again.
As he walked, Zerthon noticed a sense of unease in the air. The streets were empty, and the few people he saw were all talking in hushed tones.
When he arrived at the school, Zerthon saw Eira standing outside, her face etched with worry.
"Eira, what's wrong?" Zerthon asked, his voice firm.
Eira turned to him, her eyes filled with tears. "Tessie's been kidnapped," she said, her voice shaking. "I don't know who took her or where she is."
Zerthon's eyes narrowed, his grip on his sword tightening. "I'll find her," he said, his voice firm. "I promise."
Eira nodded, a look of determination on her face. "I know you will, Zerthon," she said. "But we have to be careful. We don't know who we're up against."
Zerthon nodded, his mind racing with thoughts of the battle ahead. He knew that he would have to be careful, but he was determined to find Tessie and bring her home safely.
Together, Zerthon and Eira set off on their search, scouring the streets and asking questions. They talked to the townspeople, but no one seemed to have seen anything.
As the sun began to set, Zerthon and Eira decided to split up and cover more ground. Zerthon headed towards the outskirts of town, his eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of Tessie.
As he walked, Zerthon noticed a figure lurking in the shadows. The figure was dressed in dark robes, and their face was hidden behind a mask.
Zerthon's instincts told him that this was the person he was looking for. He drew his sword, his eyes locked on the figure.
"Who are you?" Zerthon demanded, his voice firm.
The figure didn't respond, but instead turned and ran. Zerthon chased after them, his sword flashing in the dim light.
The chase was on, and Zerthon was determined to catch the figure and find out where Tessie was. He ran through the streets, his heart pounding in his chest.
As he turned a corner, Zerthon saw the figure duck into a nearby alleyway. He followed, his sword at the ready.
But as he entered the alleyway, Zerthon was met with a surprise. The figure was nowhere to be seen, but instead, Zerthon saw a note pinned to the wall.
The note read: "If you want to see Tessie again, meet me at the old windmill on the outskirts of town."
Zerthon's eyes narrowed, his grip on his sword tightening. He knew that this was a trap, but he was willing to take the risk to save Tessie.
With a determined look on his face, Zerthon set off towards the old windmill, ready to face whatever lay ahead.
