Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 – The Lost Sovereign in a New World

The sky darkened, as if enraged by the destruction that had just occurred. Thick black clouds loomed over the entire horizon, while lightning struck relentlessly, illuminating the ground littered with the corpses of gods. Rain poured heavily, soaking the land stained with the blood of once-worshiped divine beings.

Amidst this grim scene, a man stood tall. His long black hanfu billowed in the wind, its edges drenched in both rain and blood. His straight black hair cascaded past his back, reaching his chest, while his bangs partially obscured his face, unable to hide the cold and calculating glint in his eyes.

Fangyan.

The Sovereign of Eternal Ruin, a being who had transcended both humanity and divinity.

Before him lay the lifeless body of the King of the Gods. A being who had ruled the heavens, whose power had remained unmatched for millennia, was now nothing more than a corpse like the others. Fangyan gazed at him expressionlessly. There was no satisfaction, no pride, no anger—only a deep void.

"At last, silence…" he thought.

His entire life had been defined by conflict. Every step he took was drenched in blood, every decision he made led to destruction. He had never sought war, yet war had always found him. Now, with everything finally over, he wondered what peace would feel like.

But before he could even savor that fleeting moment of stillness—

A golden light engulfed his body.

A mysterious force suddenly seized his existence, dragging him into an unknown dimensional vortex.

An Unfamiliar Classroom

BZZZT!

A flash of light burst into the center of a spacious classroom. The light flickered momentarily before fading, leaving behind a man in a black hanfu standing on the floor.

The room was filled with dozens of students clad in modern gray uniforms, each adorned with the academy's emblem on their chests. Some stood frozen, eyes wide in shock, while others instinctively stepped back, their faces a mixture of fear and confusion.

A burly man wearing a more elaborate uniform—likely an instructor—rose from his seat and regarded Fangyan warily.

"Who are you?! How did you get into this academy?!" he barked.

Fangyan remained silent. His gaze swept across the room with casual indifference, observing the stark contrast between this world and his own. Metallic walls, holographic displays, and the modern academy logo projected on a digital board all indicated that he had arrived in an era completely foreign to him.

The murmurs among the students grew louder.

"Who is he? Why is he dressed like that?"

"Is he a Hunter from another faction?"

"Impossible! I can't sense any energy from him… but why does his presence feel so terrifying?"

Fangyan ignored the noise around him. What mattered now was analyzing the situation

"A system? Hunters?" he mused.

So, this world was no longer ruled by cultivators or gods, but by a system and hunters. A world where power was still the dominant force, albeit in a different form.

At last, Fangyan lifted his gaze and met the instructor's wary eyes. His expression remained calm, cold, and calculating.

"Where is this?" he asked, his deep voice carrying an undeniable authority.

The instructor frowned.

"You don't know? This is Zenith Hunter Academy, the greatest academy for hunters in this world!"

Fangyan let out a quiet breath.

"Interesting…" he thought.

A faint, nearly imperceptible smile tugged at the corner of his lips. If this world was truly different, then it was time for him to learn about it. And if this world had a new sy

stem governing everything…

Then he would conquer it.
