I was sitting in the surveillance room observing the movements of the schools staff. They had already documented the death ot poor Martha, however the teacher had long since left the Deceased Documentation room.
This kind of made me think the secret segment of the school that was cut off from the rest was hidden in the principals office. Or at least the entrance to that section was hidden there.
I glanced at a camera that was to the right immediately. Out of my peripheral vision I thought I had seen a man speeding past.
I couldn't see it now so I went to the camera not too far from that one and waited.
He came speeding by again but the man I saw I didn't recognize. In fact the camera was having a hard time picking up on him because of his speed.
When he passed people they didn't even seem to notice anyone went by. It was marvelous! However in the wrong hands it could be detrimental.
Could this be who killed Martha?
As I questioned this man, I noticed he made his way to the principals office. Once he went inside, he hid himself by the bookshelves and waited.
"What the hell?" I said to myself in utter confusion.
Who was this guy? Why was he here? And why was he able to conceal his presence so efficiently yet maintain his speed? Not to mention, why was his speed so much higher than everyone elses?
The principal came down the hall soon after, he looked angry, I couldn't help but wonder why.
Luckily these cameras could also capture audio so I would hear their entire conversation.
Only problem was my guards were guarding the perimeter. Pluto was… well he was wherever he was. So I was witnessing this alone, there wasn't anyone else to see this with me.
The principal opened the door and walked in before closing it behind him.
"What the hell do you think you're doing!!!!" The principal whispered yet yelled viciously. It was like he wanted to express himself but he wanted to angrily express himself in a quiet manner.
"We have a problem, you know I wouldn't come out here during the day unless it was serious." The strange man said walking out from his hiding spot.
He was a tall man with strange features. His skin was dark, so dark it couldn't be described as brown, it was as black as the dark night.
It was unnaturally black, it looked almost man-made.
I looked at my own black skin before looking at him again.
"Am I tripping? His skin tone doesn't look like anything i've ever seen before." I thought aloud, before the door opened and Pluto walked in.
"What the fuck?" Pluto's exclamation caught me off guard almost making me fall out of my seat.
"Tell me about it, idk whats going on but I'm tryna find out. Pull up a chair man watch this shit with me." I stated glad to have someone else to witness this.
The strange man didn't have any hair on his head, but his arms had strange protrusions on them.
It looked like hair, but not like hair at the same time.
"Jamie killed one of your students recently, he was trying to get Grason because of his strength. But his girlfriend Martha took the blow for him. Grason got away from Jamie and Jamie never came back. I don't know if he was killed or what but you gotta do something." The man spoke respectfully yet firmly, who the hell was this a secret teacher??
The principal stood up and walked to window, looking out at everything before him.
The window was facing the back of the school, there wasn't necessarily anything back there. It made me wonder what exactly he was looking at. But I wouldn't worry about it yet, I'll investigate it later.
"Go get Tara, give her this shirt. Tell her to smell it so she gets jamie's scent and then go find him. Even if its just his remains we must remove any sign of his existence if he's dead already. If not, bring him back to the hideout and I will speak with him for this mistake." The principal spoke coldly as if nothing in the world mattered to him.
"But Warren…"
"DON'T SAY MY NAME YOU DAMNED BLOCKHEAD!!!!!! I'd have some choice words for you if I didn't value your work so much. Now get back to it, I still have to attend Martha's funeral." The principal stared at the man angrily.
"My apologies, what should we do with Grason?" The man asked a lot more humbly than before.
"Eliminate him. He knows too much, but still try to keep some of him intact so I can put his power to good use elsewhere." The principal turned back towards the window as if in deep thought. The strange man took one last look at the principal and then the strange man speedily left.
However despite that, I now knew the principals name was Warren. This would help in keeping Warren's children from continuing what their grandfather started. Just like their father continued his work.
We continued watching the cameras trying to see where the strange man would go. However once he sped out of the school, he went around back and into the woods. I no longer had cameras up to track him way out here where he was going.
In fact I didn't even remember there being a wooded area this close to the school. The only ones I knew off were just outside of school property, this was new.
I looked back at the camera where the principal was but he was long gone.
Just like that I had lost them both. However I had more information than I did before.
Jamie was someone who was working for the principal from the shadows. He is the one who killed Martha while attempting to kill Grason.
The principals name was Warren, this was valuable! If I could narrow down his family line I could stop these experiments for good.
I would simply need to ensure his kids never learn of their fathers actions. If they do learn of it, it has to be painted in a negative light so they choose a different path.
"Pluto we just learned some valuable information! Can you add this to Shan's notes so its stored permanently in case we die here?" I said turning to Pluto.
He wasn't one of my guards but we were technically in this together. I wouldn't order him around I would ask him.
"That's a good idea, I'll take care of it now." He got up and immediately left towards the huge computer down the hall.
I picked up a radio and immediately contacted Brax.
"K to B do you copy?" I asked using the first letters of our name in case someone's listening.
"I copy you K whats the mission?" Brax responded immediately.
"We need more cameras. Just noticed a new wooded area just behind the school. Take the rest with you for protection. Effective immediately. K out." I stated before signing off.
I didn't like the radios much because they weren't as secure as having a conversation one on one. But there were fast and efficient in getting the orders out.
"Copy. B out." He stated before leaving to do exactly what was asked of him.
