Chapter 30: Incidents in the City 1
With the help of one of the lord's close advisors, the two and Filiana had a chance to prove their innocence and went to the original hideout to investigate.

With Sharrin's guidance, we entered the hideout through a side passage in the sewers. At the end of the narrow path is a spacious underground hall with many thick pillars supporting the high ceiling. Sharin picked up a torch hanging on the wall and lit it. The area is then illuminated with the orange light.
"What is this place? I can't believe there's something like this under the city."
Filiana's hooves made noise as she looked around.
"This place used to be a prison to keep prisoners locked up. It also served as a secret passage for nobles to escape in case of emergency."
Perhaps that's why it connects to all parts of the city and is certainly perfect for hiding things.
However, one thing seems strange here: where did the attacking Orcs go? There is no one outside the city, there is no one inside. From what Sharin said, it seemed like there were many people.
"Our hideout is this way."
As soon as I started walking, I kicked something with the tip of my foot. A dry sound echoes in the darkness.
I was surprised for a moment, but it seemed that it was just a bottle. When I picked it up and looked, there still seemed to be a little of something inside. It was probably abandoned by the thieves.
"It was just an empty bottle. I'm sorry for surprising you."
"No, it's okay. But please be careful."
"By the way, when did you guys run away?"
"Yes, that was about two or three months ago."
I gave a small nod to Sharin's answer. The Orcs may not be here anymore.
I was led to one of the doors in the wall. It seemed that they were using the now deactivated cell there in front as their room.
Sharin puts her hand on the doorknob. But the door didn't open.
