Chapter 35: Investigation of the Cause 2
I learned that a terrible plan was being plotted in Sharin's old hideout.

We returned the materials we had collected and left the underground passage unnoticed.
"Ah, you two, I was worried because you didn't come back for so long."
Filiana, who was waiting outside, came running to us.
"So, how was it? Did you find the victims?"
"No, I think this is going to be even more difficult."
Sharin began to explain to Filiana, who tilted her head anxiously.
"The documents we found underground described a ritual to summon demons, that is, a method to open the gates of hell."
"What?! What is that?"
While Filiana put her hands over her mouth in shock at the catastrophic news, Sharin continued.
"There may be many ways to open the gates of hell, but they plan to do it at the cost of human blood."
"H-human blood?! That's terrible. I have to warn the lord right now."

I called out to Filiana, who seemed about to run away, to calm down.
The paper on which the ritual method was written also contained the results of previous experiments written as a memorandum. The content is that the ritual has already been performed several times and has failed. They concluded that the cause was the amount of blood sacrificed.
In other words, there is a possibility that the ritual will be completed in the near future.
"Let's tell your lord immediately, otherwise there may be more victims in the meantime."
