Eh... what now? Before I could make any comment or introduce myself, the girl who was supporting the old woman approached Piyo.
"Don't say something so stupid! Evacuate quickly—they might try to attack again."
However, the concerns of the more experienced didn't do much to convince her, as Piyo shook her head vigorously in refusal.
"No! I'm going to save everyone."
"Piyo-chan, listen to your sister."
Even when the old woman scolded her, Piyo didn't listen.
"If we go help now, we'll still make it in time!"
With that, she ran off in a direction without heeding the two older and more experienced individuals who tried to stop her from taking such a reckless action.
"Hey... Piyo-chan!"
"Sigh, I'll hear your story later, so for now, could you stop Piyo? I don't mind if you have to bring her back by force."
Piyo's sister made this request to me, then turned around and left, seeming very busy. Having no choice, I chased after Piyo.
"Hey, what are you planning to do? The group that attacked your village is a gang of thieves, right? We won't be able to rescue anyone with just the two of us."
Piyo ignored my words and kept walking. I immediately gave up on trying to stop her and decided to hear what her intentions were.
"Okay, so what are you planning to do? Even if you said you'd chase after them, do you at least know where they escaped to?"
In response to my question, Piyo pointed to the colorful feathers scattered on the ground. They led out of the village to a patch of grass that was clearly trampled.
