[ Chapter I (1): "SCP-3008 RE-CONTAINMENT" ]

[ "You have got to be kidding me." ]

A young man's red eyes could be seen shining bright as he stares back at his run-down computer screen, trying his best to process what the hell kind of ads does this.

Ruffling his messy dark-hair slightly, Felix Harp, a 21 year-old college dropout and self-proclaimed genius who's sight seeing for any possible jobs near his neighbourhood couldn't decipher what the content of his computer is showing.

[ "Is my PC hacked?!" ]

[ "Hey, you piss off junk. Work!" ]

His computer displaying trails of codes, all looking like sushi recipes in other languages as he couldn't remove it no matter what. The worst part is the white box containing a trail of words he couldn't understand properly.

[ RE-CONTAIN SCP-3008 FOR THE BETTERMENT OF THE SCP UNIVERSE! ]

What does that have to do with me?! How did they even display this kind of ads here, wasn't I watching por- sight seeing for jobs! Yes, sight seeing for plausible jobs and this happened. Is it because I downloaded too much trash in here?!

In annoyance, Felix wanted to throw his computer outside the window. But in realizing he is broke, he didn't do so, instead he stomps his feet as finally the crosshair of his mouse appeared — alongside it is a button saying YES, and the other NO.

Sighting to himself, he was genuinely amazed by the technological advancements of ads, at the point of hacking his computer even, or doing something similar to that, as he drags his mouse's crosshair on the NO button.

Relief that his computer isn't broken, this having been a gift to him by his cousin who's now deceased. Having been the last gift of her to him.

Finally...

Felix put pressure on his right index finger and clicked... What?

The YES button, and NO button suddenly glitched, as they traded places suddenly. In a blink of an eye that even he couldn't realize what happened before he did so, in realizing he clicked the YES instead of the intended NO, Felix became annoyed.

[ "What the freaky friday fuck is..." ] Feeling a sudden pain in his chest, made him stop speaking. Clutching it instead as he looks down, feeling his heart thump widely before ultimately losing that energy in seconds later.

[ "Oh... Fuck..." ] Felix who's well-versed in obscure knowledge from franchises like Warhammer 40K, Harry Potter, or even SCP, and some relating to weird questions that people have suddenly in taking a shit in the bathroom realized the problem he is currently having...

[ "Hea...rt attack!" ]

Flopping dead on his desk, the well-known author of numerous books, and creative fan fiction died that day. None the wiser as the only one that became suspicious is his readers days later, in realizing that he failed to comply with his usual update schedule.

Him not having any family, friends, or acquaintances to even notice that he died, rotting for half a month in his apartment. His body was only spotted when the stinky land lord burst open his doors demanding rent money.

At that time it was already too late, as the trashy lifestyle of one Felix Harp ended. His unique features, like his red iris having been for nothing as he died like a pig... Having done nothing notable with his life.

...

Wait?

WHAT?!

Felix's spirit on the other hand which is just a blur of white light disappeared from his original body, having been sucked from his original universe and traveled to another one.

The ball of light which represents his soul having been on a train ride for days, traveling in a speed faster than sound past by universes.

Him screaming inside his head, even though he doesn't have one. He wants to yell through his mouth, but realizes quickly that he doesn't have one.

Throughout the process of this, Felix was able to notice the contents of which the universes he passed to have. Some are dystopian, some filled with monsters, some having animals, realistic ones living in it coexisting with no humans in sight.

He was even able to see an alternate story of one Batman, who supposedly was a fictional character holding a wand, teleporting from one place to another — in the background was a school, weird looking one, children of all ages chattering with one another.

Curious, he tried to read more on to it, but he wasn't able to as his metaphorical feet didn't stop moving, passing by each and every single things that he had only written about through his phone, and computer.

He could even say that they are more mystic, horrifying, fun, and dreadful up close rather than imagining them. Truly, the first-hand experience beats the second-hand which is only told via pen and paper, imagined by a man.

For truth is stranger than fiction.

All this time he passed by fictional stories, some he could recognize, and some not. Some of which he could recognize along the way includes:

Family Guy by Set MacFarlane. Which he could see have a man who looks like a Peter Griffin cosplayer, but in reality is Peter Griffin fighting a yellow chicken man who's not in costume, but in reality is a chicken who's the same height as him. A fist fight to death.

I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream by Harlan Ellison. A book renowned for the dystopian future it presented through Artificial Intelligent. This case caused by IM. In what he saw, he could see people being tortured, in their own separate cages tailored especially for them, 5 of such cages.

Fantastic Beast and Where to Find them by J.K Rowling. A movie, but what he saw wasn't a part, and included in the movie. What he saw was a man calming down a dragon, a wand in his mouth, a charismatic yet kind young man that he could assume to be Newt Scamander — the titular protagonist of the story.

Call of Duty. Minecraft. Transformers. The Hunger Games. Toy Story. Spy x Family. Frozen. Wreck It Ralph. Sleeping Beauty. Dune. Star Wars. Rick and Morty. Legends of Zelda. Warhammer 40K. Assassin's Creed... etc

At some point he didn't notice it, but his eyes weren't scared anymore. But instead it amazed him as he scans every single detail he could through his... eyes? Nonetheless, he scanned them all, tried to remember the best as he could.

As an author, and lover of good stories. Felix in seeing the real thing, other than the watered down copy that the world of his provides couldn't help but wants to create stories.

Stories!

The rollercoaster ride finally ending after what felt like a decade, but in reality lasted for a day as the ball of light which is him suddenly swerved to the right and inside one of the plenty of universes around.

The ball of light wanting to scream, but not being able to as he lands on a sleeping body inside a seemingly abandoned super store.

The body, which now belongs to the soul of Felix Harp opened its eyes. The features share a striking similarity to his previous one, notably the red iris which he calls a curse being displayed as well.

But he doesn't care about that as he instead of worrying, or screaming, did what he most yearn for at that moment.

He gasped a mouthful of air, talking to himself; [ "I need a pen and paper." ] A pen and paper, as his body instinctively tried to find one in his pockets. Which are seemingly empty.

This act of not having a pen and paper on hand, or a gadget that he could use to type made him frown in disappointment. As he stands up, like a mummy, only then looking around his surroundings which are dark to the extreme.

Except for the bright holographic box floating in front of him, containing the words [ WELCOME TO THE SCP UNIVERSE PLAYER NO. 1! ] the words instantly making his mood sour as he reads it.

This bitch!
