Felix didn't bother with the system notification that rings inside his head, or at the floating box that only he can see in front of him. No, in anger, the usually calm-headed author of thousands of stories kept punching the thing under him.

Fist left, fist right. He didn't care if it looked sloppy, in annoyance, and unrestrained anger he kept hitting the pale creature who was shorter than him to the face, his hand turning black-blue and slightly redden due to him losing his own blood. Only stopping when he felt satisfied.

Still kneeling, Felix looked out at the little monster in front of him and noticed that the enlarged head of it had a dent. No blood coming out, or any liquid, not even brain bits or organs, no nothing.

But whenever he punched at the thing he could feel the thing's head harder than a rock, and in some cases softer than clay, but still hurt like hell in doing. That only having fueled his resentment at the thing.

He has died countless of times since he entered this place, this SCP-3008-1 instance, the Infinite IKEA that both looks plain and morbid. Morbidly-plain he likes to call it.

Whenever he respawns he'll eventually get killed later on, the longest he lived being more than 10 minutes when he climbed a shelf. Before ultimately dying having been grabbed by the feet and thrown onto the floor by one brave SCP-3008-2 instance.

The shortest he lived on the other hand is only a couple of seconds, he wasn't able to rise up at all as his head was bashed in by one brute SCP-3008-2 instances that did worse than what he did on this small gremlin.

Now after what felt like an eternity, Felix was able to spot one short instance of SCP-3008-2, jumping it and not letting it go until ultimately it gets what it fucking deserves. A good beating to the face.

Breathing a sight of relief, the adrenaline Felix felt slowly disappeared and now he could feel his fist going numb in pain. Looking at it he could see it bruised, the knuckles especially as blood oozes out slightly causing a stinging sensation.

Looking down he could see the face of the monster he killed, the first-monster he ever killed using his own bare hands. One out of the thousand he'll have to kill. In seeing that he'll have to kill a nine hundred ninety nine more, he felt annoyed.

Punching the thing one last time, Felix stood up. Now only being able to read the line of text that appeared in front of him, a shorter line compared to the other texts that kept appearing.

Nonetheless he didn't bother with it, as seconds later the thing disappeared, leaving him alone in the darkness. The night-time of the SCP-3008-1 which lasted 12 hours if this is not wrong, this stimulates the night-time of earth.

He stood up, and leaned his head back on the sofa not so far away from the lifeless body of the SCP-3008-2 instance that he just killed.

Felix hoped that the thing doesn't release any pheromones that'll attract other SCP-3008-2 instances, if it did, then he'll have to die again. In which he hates in feeling.

He read, and even wrote a story relating to this dumb fuckers once. Too overpowered for their own right, but so simple also, when dying they'll release pheromones or something like those that'll attract the other SCP-3008-2 instances, a problem that the human settlement inside SCP-3008-1 faced.

He also read that they used to dump them somewhere else, using it to their advantage, luring the other SCP-3008-2 instances away from them as far as they could.

Perhaps he could use that same tactic... But in remembering he doesn't have any basic form of settlement made him frown slightly.

Damn it...

Felix who's out of breath from working out using those instances slowly rose up, about to move away from the SCP-3008-2 instance that he had just killed.

But stopped dead in his tracks when he noticed another instance's voice trailing not far away. Repeating the vocabulary that he hated so much in hearing;

[ "The store is now closed. Please exit the building..." ]

Felix's eyes scanned the thing and noticed that it is an abomination. Head smaller than the other instances, a buff body akin to that of a body builder, large arms and small legs, that thing can fold him in half very easily.

And Felix knows that running isn't an option either, he once tried outrun one thinking it's slower than normal. But apparently the thing is like a silverback gorilla and chased him, he could still remember how furniture flew left and right when that happened.

The fear he felt, and hopeless was quickly solved by him dying, getting his chest trampled on by that thing. The feeling is something he doesn't want to happen again, but there's no way in hell he could not feel that again, especially in seeing the new instance that is approaching him at an alarming speed.

[ "Come on, can we not resort to our baser instincts?!" ]

[ "Please!" ]

In response to his pleading, the SCP-3008-2 beefcake instance tackled him like a small football; [ "The store is now closed. Please exit the building..." ] the thing's voice deeper than the others, before ultimately separating Felix's body into two.

Before Felix could lose the few seconds of consciousness he had, he noticed that on the other side, right behind him are other instances of SCP-3008-2.

Some look normal, and some with inhumane body proportions, mostly looking similar. In seeing him flop to the floor with a thud, they slowly one-by-one went to their own separate ways.

A dwarf type even goes in-between the holes of what the shelves offer to be able to go into another part of the Infinite IKEA.

Another instance could be seen fixing the shelves, and disc of plates, as all the other instances leave the dead SCP-3008-2 instance alone, and so does Felix who lost the light in his eyes.

And so and so, Felix's spirit once again left his newly acquired body. His soul, the ball of light ascending up past the shelves before shooting into a new direction in a speed faster than that of a bullet.

With Felix who's currently screaming in his head from the pain of being tackled by a tank-like creature, then being split in half. He couldn't bear it anymore, the pain still lingered even after the deed, even though he doesn't have a body anymore.

The ball of light which is Felix's soul quietly passed by the rows of shelves formed to make a maze, the open sea of beds, and other usually normal-looking spots in an IKEA either twisted to morbidity, or plain normal that it feels inhumane.

Nonetheless, Felix finally landed in one of those places, in the Infinite IKEA he could be seen having been lucky in his respawn as he lands in somewhere where food is abundant.

In the place where junk food, chocolates, and cereal was abundant. The new body which he now inhabited seems to appear out of thin air, and now shaped to appear akin to that to Felix Harp — with the soul now occupying it.

Now Felix who has died countless of times, in gruesome fashion could be seen slowly standing up. Like a Frankenstein Monster, his face cold, mind remembering how he was murdered a minute ago.

His mouth then opened up about to scream, but ultimately stopped in seeing one plain looking SCP-3008-2 instance stacking the shelves in front of him.

Felix stared at the thing, not even daring to make a sound even though the instance in front of him looked the most plain out of all the SCP-3008-2 he encountered inside SCP-3008-1.

The pale monster stopped suddenly in feeling someone stare at it, it stopped reorganizing the contents of the shelves right beside it as it slowly turned to look at the eye which is currently looking at it.

[ "..." ]

[ "..." ]

A red-eyed boy who's laid out on the floor, upper half of the torso up, sweating slightly as it smiled at the face of the SCP-3008-2 instance. Waving its arms timidly in the air.

[ "Hi?" ]

[ "The store is now clos-" ]

The kill mode inside this SCP-3008-2 activated, one only operational when it's either night-time, or when attacked. But abruptly stopped dead in its tracks when the lights above them opened up.

The SCP-3008-2 who was about to murder the human stopped, the kill mode disappearing before ultimately it focused back on reorganize the box of cereals in front of it — splitting away Cheerios from Captain Crunch, and Froot Loops away from Frosted Flakes, so on and so forth.

[ "Die you son of a bitch!" ]

An unexpected sucker punch landed on the thing's pale face, hitting it hard causing it to land on the floor below. Before it could register what's happening a barrage of punch was already sent at the SCP-3008-2 instances face, before ultimately it lost little of "consciousness" it has.
