As Zack lay on the floor coughing, Daniel Park was overwhelmed with this delirious feeling that he had won! Won for the first time in his life. He had no idea how his body moved the way it did, but he wasn't complaining. He was able to save himself at least. As he was looking around his excited classmates, cheering for him, he had an odd feeling that someone was observing him. He looked around, but couldn't see anybody suspicious enough.
Meanwhile, Jeong Gi, student of the Vocal & Dance department hurriedly made his way towards his class to deliver the news to Vin Jin. "Did you hear? There is a new kid in school from the Fashion department. He defeated Zack Lee with a single punch!" he exclaimed breathlessly. "And what am I supposed to do with this information?" asked Vin unbothered as usual. "What are you supposed to do? You are supposed to be vary of this kid Vin! He may be dangerous." he said. "I couldn't care less" replied Vin as he made his way to the cafeteria.
He never cared for anything. Nothing at all. Any news, any happening never bothered him. But people knew that he was strong, even though he had never fought anyone in the school. He took no interest in any extra curricular activities. The only person who could claim to be close to him and know him well was Mary Kim. But even they didn't talk much in front of others, keeping their conversations completely private.
He reached for his seat, where Mary was already waiting for him. Sitting down beside her quietly he told her about how he got selected in OK Talent Agency. "Isn't that wonderful?" she said her voice supportive but devoid of any excitement. "Maybe it is. Might help later on I guess." he replied. But their conversation was cut short as Daniel Park made his way in to the cafeteria, surrounded by admirers. "He is quite a looker" said Mary. "Are we done?" asked Vin as he stuffed his mouth with gimbap. "Why? You jealous?" she asked grinning. "I don't even give two flying fucks about him. I don't understand why people are so obsessed at me to do something about this. Like what am I supposed to do? He picked no beef with me or my family." he said. "Family?" asked Mary softly. "Let's just finish and go" he said.
As he got up to put his plate back, he accidentally bumped to Vasco. The two stared at each other, though there was no hatred. "Make way" said Vin as Vasco quietly stepped aside, making his way towards an overenthusiastic Daniel Park. "Is he looking for a fight?" said Jace loud enough for Vin to hear and pause momentarily, he then turned around to see what might happen. He was slightly interested at how the events would unfold.
"Hey Vasco! Over here!" called Daniel excitedly. Vasco and his Burn Knuckles made their way towards him. "Who are you? You know me?" asked Vasco gruffly. Daniel was surprised at the sudden change in his tone and behavior. He had seem so friendly and kind last night. Why the sudden change in personality? He didn't knew, that Vasco had already made up his mind that handsome guys are always bad as he went on to say, "You, you have never been taken down?".
What in the world was happening? Why was Vasco so angry at him? But without warning Vasco suddenly tightened his grip around his shoulder, like a vice, trying to bring him into submission, everyone held their breath. Much to everyone's amazement, he not only withstood it. He even went on to free himself from his grip. This truly caught Vin's eye. He knew a strong grip when he saw it. This guy was no joke. He truly had an insane grip strength. Question was, how strong was it? But again, he felt too unbothered to pry about it more, these things were not his concern. Fighting strong people just to show your strength? What was the point? There are plenty of strong people around, some which can never be outgrown. He had seen strength from up close. Felt it. Fought it, and in the end, decided to not concern himself with it anymore. Not after what happened. Never again.
As Jace hurriedly cleared the air between Vasco and Daniel, silence fell in the cafeteria as the Burn Knuckles left quietly. The fun time was over and everyone had dispersed.
