Chapter 31 - Wife, I just love you so much

Next on her agenda was creating a visual framework of her space. Although she already had a clear idea of what buildings to place in each section, she wanted to finalize the design before discussing it with Ethan later.

Elena drew with excitement, her ideas flowing effortlessly onto the page. In her vision, the area would be divided into five distinct sections: Western Fertile Soil, Northern Black Soil, Eastern Lake, Southern Inventory, and, at the center of it, Central Haven.

Each section had a specific purpose; she wanted to aim bigger and build a comprehensive little town.

In the center of her paper, she drew a circle to represent Central Haven, emphasizing a wall around it. The design featured two parts: the left side for the market section and the right for the community section.

The market area included a marketplace pavilion where vendors could sell their goods. A food court offered a variety of cuisines for visitors to enjoy. Artisan workshops allowed craftspeople to create and sell their work. Together, these areas facilitated trade and interaction.

On the other hand, the community area includes a community center for gatherings, a mini park for outdoor activities, a playground for children, a library for reading and learning, and houses for residents.

To the north of Central Haven, Elena designated the hospital area. She envisioned a main hospital for comprehensive medical care, a pharmacy for easy access to medications, a rehabilitation center for recovery services, and a mental health clinic to support emotional well-being.

This is it for now in Central Haven.

For the Northern Black Soil section, Elena drew a horizontal line above the main hospital, marking the beginning of the area and designating an entrance for easy access to the hospital. This section will focus on herbalists and medical scientists. It featured herb gardens for growing medicinal plants and a research facility dedicated to studying herbal medicine and its benefits.

Hmmp, what can I add? I think this is good enough.

In the Western Fertile Soil section, Elena drew a vertical line on the left side of the Central Haven market area and created a designated entrance around the area. She divided this section into two parts: the farming sector, which occupies three-quarters of the area, and the livestock sector, which takes up one-quarter.

The farming sector is further divided into five parts: a fruit farm, vegetable farm, grain farm, industrial crop farm, and a mini forest, along with an industrial building for processing crops like grain, cotton, rubber, logs, etc. The livestock sector will house various animals, including chickens, pigs, cows, goats, etc., available in the market.

Nice! What's more to add?

Elena then drew a horizontal line below Central Haven for the Southern Inventory section. She plans to build a logistics building particularly a distribution center to manage the flow of products, along with a loading dock center for easy transportation of items in and out.

Additionally, she placed a Combat Training Building in the southeast section, which will serve as a designated training ground. This facility will equip people with the skills necessary for survival and safety in an apocalypse.

In the Eastern Lake section, Elena plans to create a water-refining station and a designated area for aquatic farming. After experimenting, she discovered that seafood thrived using the lake water. Elena intends to travel to City D to gather seafood, marine materials, and necessary equipment.

After developing her concept for the small world layout, Elena focused on the currency that would be used within the space. She determined that all trade and transactions would require objects imbued with spiritual energy. To support this, she decided that every member would be required to contribute jades, antiques, and cores each month.

Aside from that, Elena wanted to create a unique mark for each section from space. The Northern Black Soil section features a leaf symbol, highlighting its focus on healing and herbal medicine. The Western Fertile Soil section is marked by a plow symbol, representing agriculture and farming.

The Eastern Lake section is denoted by a water droplet symbol, symbolizing the lake and its resources. The Southern Inventory section is identified by a box symbol, representing storage and inventory management. Additionally, she included heart-shaped marks that can entered everywhere inside the space.

Each mark corresponds to its designated access area, but everyone is allowed to enter Central Haven.

Hmm, let's add more later.

Next, she set about creating rules for the space, carefully crafting guidelines that were essential for its safety and order. Rule number one: fighting was not allowed except in designated training grounds. Rule number two: dangerous materials were banned and would be stored in an inventory, only to be released once they exited the space. Rule number three: no one was permitted to take anything from inside the space without proper clearance.

Elena was about to consider creating more rules in the space when she noticed someone intently watching her.

The gaze was curious, and she could sense a mix of interest and apprehension.

Elena smiled as she looked at Ethan.

"You're finally awake," she said, putting down her things and settling beside the bed.

Ethan nodded, a hint of embarrassment evident on his face as he met her gaze.

"Wife, I feel uncomfortable in these clothes. Do you have an extra shirt for me?" he asked, a flirty smile playing on his lips.

Elena couldn't help but sneer at her husband's antics.

If this were in the past, she would have blushed at his charm, but now she felt immune to his playful ways.

"I was going to bandage your wound, but since you were sleeping soundly, I didn't want to wake you," she replied, summoning a first aid kit along with some clean clothes.

"Let's clean you up first."

Ethan's eyes sparkled with mischief at her words.

"Okay, wife, but my other shoulder is injured. Can you help me undress?" he said shyly.

Elena rolled her eyes, knowing exactly what he was up to, but she couldn't resist smiling.

Carefully, she began to undress his upper body. As she saw his six-pack abs, she felt a sudden urge to touch them.

Ethan noticed her gaze and felt elated; his wife really liked him now.

"Wife, we haven't consummated our marriage," he said, breaking the moment.

Elena raised an eyebrow, questioning the timing of his comment.

Is this really the time to discuss that?

"Look at your injury. Let's talk about it again once you're healed, okay?" she suggested, trying to steer the conversation back to more pressing matters.

Ethan smiled at her response, pleased that she hadn't outright declined his suggestion.

"I'll listen to you, wife."

Realizing he was just trying to gauge her feelings, she rolled her eyes again.

As long as you are happy.

"Okay, face this way. I need to clean that area. Wait, don't move. Actually, I'll just go to the other side," she instructed.

She first cleaned his shoulder wound, applying some well water and alcohol. When he didn't flinch, she continued, drying it with a clean cloth before bandaging it.

As she worked, Ethan reflected on how much Elena had changed. She had become more mature, leaving behind the lively and carefree woman he once knew.

He felt a mix of happiness and sadness, but one thing was clear: He loved her to the moon.

After tending to his shoulder, Elena shifted her focus to his injured leg.

"Let's cut the pants. It would be difficult to take them off otherwise."

"Okay," Ethan agreed.

Elena summoned scissors and carefully cut away the fabric, leaving him only underwear.

It was the first time Ethan had shown his body to a woman, and while he felt embarrassed, the thought that it was his beloved wife made him act shamelessly.

"Wife, after you clean and bandage my injury, can you help me change my underwear? I feel uncomfortable in these wet ones," he said, a teasing tone in his voice.

Elena felt her cheeks heat up at his request. She glared at him while continuing to clean his injured legs.

Ethan couldn't help but think she looked like a cat, all flustered and cute.

"Husband, can you stop embarrassing yourself?" she said, trying to maintain her composure.

Hearing her call him husband made his heart flutter.

"But I'm just being honest, wife."

"Fine, you win," she conceded, rolling her eyes again.

After taking care of his wounds, she glanced at his lower half.

"Should I cut the underwear? But how will we put on a new one without it touching your injured leg?"

"Then I won't wear any," Ethan said teasingly, but seriously considering it since they were alone.

Elena, realizing he was serious, quickly thought of a solution.

"Enough! I have plus-size underwear here. It will fit and won't touch your injured leg."

"I'll listen to you, wife," he replied, a grin spreading across his face.

Elena used the scissors to cut the underwear, trying to keep her eyes closed a little.

"Wife! Focus! What if you cut my jewels? We haven't had any descendants yet!" he exclaimed, feigning panic.

Elena shot him a fierce glare before hastily cutting the underwear. When she saw his jewels, her face turned a deep shade of red.

Good gracious, they were still the same as before.

Seeing her blush, Ethan couldn't help but pull her into an embrace with his uninjured arm. He cupped her face and kissed her lips, catching her off guard.

Elena was stunned but didn't pull away; she had longed for this connection with her husband.

After a long kiss, they both pulled back, panting heavily, the air thick with romance.

"Wife, what can I do? I just love you so much," Ethan said, his voice filled with sincerity.

He looked at Elena with a loving gaze, his eyes reflecting the depth of his feelings.
