Chapter 2: The Void and the God Who Laughs
Drifting in the Abyss
There was no pain. No body. No sense of time. Just an endless void stretching into infinity.
Was this death? True death?
I wasn't sure how long I had been floatingâseconds, minutes, years? It didn't matter. The last thing I remembered was Kaguya ripping through me like I was nothing. All my power, all my knowledge, and still⊠I had been nothing more than a plaything to a god.
And now, I was here.
Just as I began to accept the silence, a voice cut through the nothingness.
"Oh my, you really made a mess of things, didn't you?"
It was an old man's voiceâcalm, amused, and unsettlingly familiar. I turnedâor maybe I didn'tâbut suddenly, he was there.
The Old Man in the Void
He looked⊠ordinary.
A frail old man, dressed in a simple robe, with long white hair and a beard that reached his chest. He looked like some kind of kindly grandfather. But his eyes⊠they were wrong.
They held infinity within them.
"You seem confused," he said with a chuckle, stroking his beard as he studied me. "That's understandable. You weren't meant to reach that level of power in the world I sent you to. But I must admit, it was quite entertaining to watch."
His words made my nonexistent blood run cold.
"You⊠sent me there?"
The old man's grin widened, his wrinkles deepening. "Of course! I give second chances to interesting souls. And you, my boy, are very interesting."
A god. I was talking to a god. No, the god. The one who had sent me to the world of Naruto in the first place.
I clenched my fistsâexcept I had no fists to clench. "Why? Was I just some game to you?"
He laughed. Not mockingly, not cruelly, but genuinely amused. "Oh, don't be so dramatic. Life itself is a game, isn't it? You played well, but you lost. So, it's time for a new one."
I narrowed my eyes. "A new one?"
The old man leaned forward, his grin taking on a sinister edge.
"I'm sending you to another world."
A New World of Monsters and Magic
I barely had time to process his words before space itself shattered around me. The void cracked apart like glass, revealing glimpses of another worldâa world of rolling green hills, mighty castles, and ancient forests filled with beasts beyond imagination.
A world of magic.
"Welcome to Britannia," the old man whispered, his voice echoing through my mind. "The world of the Seven Deadly Sins."
My stomach dropped. That world was just as dangerous as Naruto'sâif not worse.
Before I could protest, he gave me a creepy, knowing smile.
"Oh, and try to survive this time."
Then, the void swallowed me whole.
A Harsh Awakening
Pain.
The first thing I felt was pain.
My body was real againâaching, sore, and half-buried in dirt. My senses snapped back all at once. The scent of damp earth filled my nose. The distant howls of beasts echoed through the trees. The world was dark, damp, and alive.
I forced myself up, groaning as I took in my surroundings. A dense forest stretched in every direction, its towering trees blotting out the moonlight. Thick vines coiled around the trunks, and an eerie mist clung to the ground.
I was in the middle of nowhere.
And I wasn't alone.
A low growl rumbled behind me.
Slowly, I turned my headâmy eyes locking onto a pair of gleaming, predatory red eyes staring at me from the darkness.
Something huge moved in the shadows.
I had no idea where I was. No idea what abilities I still had. But one thing was clear.
I was already fighting for my life.
