Chapter 4: The Lion and the Storm
A Streak Across the Sky
The wind howled as I shot through the sky like a meteor, the world below me blurring into streaks of green and brown. "Thunderclap Propulsion"—a simplified name for my new high-speed travel technique—was working perfectly.
I had combined my elemental mastery to achieve near-instantaneous movement:
• Lightning Release enhanced my body, keeping my muscles from tearing apart.
• Fire Release acted as raw propulsion, blasting me forward like a rocket.
• Wind Release stabilized my flight and controlled my direction.
• Magnet Release compressed my form with electromagnetic force, reducing drag and increasing speed.
• Dust Release erased anything that got too close, ensuring a clear path.
It was an exhilarating experience—like being a living missile.
After mere minutes, I saw my destination: Escanor.
The Moment of Impact
A blinding golden glow radiated from a lone figure standing on a grassy hill. Even from this distance, I could feel the sheer heat emanating from him.
I adjusted my trajectory, firing off a final burst of Wind Release to decelerate. The ground rumbled as I landed with force, kicking up a massive shockwave of dust and debris.
Standing before me was Escanor, the Lion's Sin of Pride.
He was exactly as I remembered—towering, broad-shouldered, and exuding absolute confidence. His golden mustache twitched as he regarded me with mild amusement, the sun behind him making his presence even more overwhelming.
A Battle of Words (and Power)
He smirked, arms crossed. "An interesting entrance, but I fail to see why I should care. Who are you, and why should I waste my time with someone so weak?"
I smirked back. "Weak? You might want to rethink that."
Without hesitation, I raised my hand, summoning a single Truth-Seeking Orb—one of the most powerful constructs in the Naruto world, capable of erasing anything it touched. I let it float beside me as I activated my elemental mastery.
"Elemental Convergence: Ultimate Technique."
The air crackled with energy as all five basic elements and multiple advanced ones fused into one. The ground beneath me scorched, froze, and shattered all at once.
Escanor raised an eyebrow. "Hmph. A parlor trick?"
I exhaled sharply. Time to show him something even more impressive.
A Display of Power
I summoned two dozen shadow clones, each performing a different high-level technique:
• One clone used Dust Release, disintegrating a massive boulder into nothingness.
• Another clone released Lava Style, melting the ground into molten rock.
• A third fused Ice Release and Wind Release, creating a localized blizzard in seconds.
• Several others activated powerful Sealing Jutsu, demonstrating my mastery over forbidden arts.
• One used Flying Thunder God, teleporting instantly between marked kunai.
Escanor remained unimpressed. He didn't even flinch when I placed him under an advanced Genjutsu, showing him illusions of entire landscapes shifting around him.
With pure willpower, he simply broke out of it.
I whistled. "Not bad. Most people would've been trapped for eternity."
He scoffed. "Illusions are meaningless to me. My reality is stronger than any falsehood."
The Debate of Strength
He turned away. "I have no need for a weakling's tricks. The sun alone is my ally."
I narrowed my eyes. "And yet, even the sun sets."
That made him pause.
"You may be the strongest under the sun, Escanor, but what happens when night falls? When enemies strike from the shadows? When you must travel far beyond the reach of your power?"
His expression darkened. The truth was undeniable—at night, he was powerless.
"I can solve that problem," I pressed on. "I can teleport us anywhere instantly. I can scout ahead, find any enemy, any ally, anything. My clones can assist you in battle, prepare battlefields, or gather intelligence. I can seal away threats even you struggle with."
I stepped forward, locking eyes with him. "You are the sun, Escanor. But even the sun needs the sky to shine."
He stared at me for a long moment, his gaze unreadable.
Then, he threw his head back and laughed—a deep, hearty laugh. "You are bold, little warrior. I admire that."
Finally, he grinned. "Very well. You shall accompany me. But do not think for a second that I require your help."
I smirked. "Of course. Just think of it as… strategic convenience."
Escanor scoffed but said nothing more.
And just like that, I had gained the strongest ally under the sun.
To be continued…
