Chapter 34 - CHAPTER THIRTY-FOUR:Mystery slayer

Nine months had passed, and Aria was now heavily pregnant. She was having tea in lord nigel personal garden, enjoying tea with her mother, Theresa, and Lord nigel himself.

Suddenly, Aria groaned, and everyone's attention turned to her. "What's wrong?" they asked in unison.

Aria replied, "I think my belly is about to fall." The maids couldn't help but giggle at her choice of words, despite the seriousness of the moment.

Lord nigel's expression turned concerned. "Your belly is about to fall? What do you mean?"

Before Aria could respond, she groaned again, this time in pain. Lord nigel swiftly ordered, "Call the mid wives Now!"

The group quickly escorted Aria to the mid wives quarters, where an middle aged woman was waiting to assist. Lord nigel was beside himself with nervousness, anxious to meet his newborn son.

As Aria was taken inside, everyone gathered outside the physician's quarters, praying silently and waiting for the news of the baby's arrival.

After hours of anxious waiting, the midwife finally emerged with life-changing news. "A set of twins has been born!" they announced.

Lord nigel rushed into the room, overwhelmed with emotion. His eyes widened as he took in the sight of his newborn twins. They were perfect - a boy and a girl, both with features that mirrored his own. Their delicate skin and adorable faces left him breathless.

As he approached Aria, he noticed she wasn't moving. Panic set in, and he asked the midwife, "What happened?"

The midwife reassured him, "No need to panic, my lord. She just passed out from exhaustion."

Lord nigel concern lingered, but the midwife's calm demeanor eased his fears. He turned his attention to his precious twins, cradling them in his arms. Tears of joy welled up in his eyes as he thanked the heavens for the incredible gift he had just received. The sight of his twins was truly wonderful, and he felt his heart overflow with love and gratitude.

The news of the twins' arrival spread like wildfire through the palace and beyond. A grand ceremony was held to celebrate the naming of the twins, Orion and Aurora.

The palace was filled with joy and laughter as friends, family, and nobles gathered to witness the momentous occasion. Lord nigel and Aria beamed with pride as they presented their beautiful twins to the world.

The names Orion and Aurora were met with admiration and approval. Everyone agreed that the twins' names were fitting and elegant, suiting their noble birth and celestial beauty.

As the ceremony came to a close, the palace erupted in cheers and applause. The air was filled with warmth and happiness, and it was clear that the arrival of Orion and Aurora had brought immense joy to the kingdom.

Eighteen years had passed, a teenage boy dressed in all black coat resembling the powerful Lord nigel, was seen sprinting through a dense forest, arrows in hand. He possessed his father's mysterious abilities, marked by swift and agile movements.

As he ran, he suddenly stopped as he sighted a huge lion. smiled to himself, and whispered, "Wow, big hunt." He stretched out his arrow, took aim, and released it with full force.

The arrow soared straight, hitting the lion, but to the boy's surprise, the lion didn't die. Instead, it turned, enraged, and charged towards the boy.

With swift reflexes, the boy shot another arrow, and another, before the lion could reach him. Finally, the lion fell to the ground, dropping dead.

The boy praised himself, "Nice shot."

After the lion dropped dead, Orion carried its massive carcass, seemingly unfazed by its weight. He brought it to Ashwood Palace, where he instructed the guards to help skin it and take it to the kitchen chefs for cooking.

Just as Orion was about to enter the palace, his sister Aurora blocked his path at the entrance. "Where have you been?" she asked, eyeing him with concern.

Orion's expression turned cold. "What's your concern with where I've been? Besides, I don't think we have any business together. Can you just move aside and let me in?"

Aurora persisted, "Grandma and mom has been worried sick. Why are you always leaving the palace without letting anyone know?"

Orion's anger flared, his eyes flashing with annoyance. He looked at Aurora from head to toe before turning away, walking off without another word.

As Orion ventured deeper into the castle, Lord Nigel's voice suddenly startled him. "Where have you been?" he asked sternly.

Orion immediately went to his knees and apologized, "Sorry, Father. I went hunting."

Lord Nigel's expression turned stern. "Do you want me to lock you up? Why are you always sneaking out?"

Orion remained quiet, choosing not to respond carelessly. He knew better than to provoke his father's wrath.

Lord nigel's expression softened, and he said, "Go and meet your mother. She's worried about you."

Orion bowed respectfully and left.

Orion replied, "I went hunting, Mother."

Aria's expression turned serious. "Nobody is stopping you from going hunting, but if you want to leave the palace, let us know. We worry about your safety."

Orion smiled reassuringly. "Mother, you shouldn't worry about me. I can protect myself."

Aria's eyes narrowed. "Of course, you can protect yourself, but attacks can come from anywhere. Just be careful, okay?"

Orion nodded. "I will, Mother. Okay?"

Aria's expression softened, and Orion added, "So, stop being angry."

Aria smiled, and the tension between them dissipated.
