Lana excitedly got off the bus, which took her and several students to the camp site. As she got off the bus, the cold, damp wind of the Northern Mountains caressed her face, which quickly reddened her skin. As soon as all the students landed, they collected their bags and headed inside, into the huge metal bunker, where they were immediately greeted warmly. Lana never felt comfortable at home, but from the moment she set foot here, she felt that this was where she belonged. They were shown around the huge facility, they could see the main places, and finally everyone was escorted to their rooms. Lana got a girl named Lilith as a roommate.

"I'm Lilith, I'm glad to meet you," the girl pushed her thick glasses back down her nose. Lana thought she was beautiful, despite her understated style, she still shone with her blonde hair and blue eyes. Lana has always longed for blue eyes, but now she has realized that not only blue eyes can be beautiful, she now considers her own brown eyes beautiful as well.

"Ladies...Lilith Moore and Lana Williams, is that you?" asked an aging lady who read the names of the girls from her paper. The girls nodded at the same time, standing still in awe of the lady's superior radiance. "I was very happy, or what the hell, come with me, put on something warm. We are going to inspect the field!" She stated in a tone that did not tolerate contradiction. The girls stared at each other for a few seconds, but when the lady called again, they picked up their coats and followed her out of the building.

They had no idea that they would be able to go out for a field trip right after their arrival, but they didn't mind at all. The air outside was very cold, Lana clutched her coat, the fresh snow crunched under her feet with every step. She has always loved winter, she would rather be cold than warm.

"I don't know if you know, but I received a separate letter from both of your schools, in which they drew my attention to the fact that you are smart and very hardworking. That's why you came with me now." The lady stopped in the middle of the forest, which was a beautiful sight. Snow covered everything, the peaks of the mountains extended above the trees, surrounding the place. Lana had never seen such a miracle before, she looked around with her mouth open.

"And what exactly are we doing here?" Lana asked curiously.

"Do you believe in supernatural beings?" She asked seriously. The girls looked at each other confused, they didn't understand why this was an important question.

"Does anyone believe? Except for the children" answered Lilith sensibly. The lady just giggled and continued.

"She's right, and that's what we want people to think. But there is the supernatural, and everything has a key role in this place. I would state in advance what I am telling you, secret information, if you tell anyone, you will not get home alive!" A cold look appeared on the woman's face, the girls felt that she was not joking. "You yourselves are here to help end a long-standing war between vampires and werewolves. This is the headquarters of the vampires, your presence is very important, as your attract the wolves here, who have an ingrained mania to make people run away from us."

They could not continue their discourse as the howling of a wolf in the distance, broke the peaceful silence of the forest.
