Chapter 2 - chapter 2

Karl scanned the rows of Pokémon eggs before him, a mix of curiosity and determination in his eyes.

"Why are there only these common Pokémon?" he muttered, furrowing his brow.

He continued browsing the second and third rows of eggs, carefully inspecting each one. Finally, three Pokémon caught his attention.

---

[Pokémon: Petilil]

Status: To be hatched

Gender: Female

Ability: Chlorophyll (Speed increases in sunny weather)

Potential: Professional

Moves: Growth, Absorb

Inherited Moves: Ingrain, Synthesis

Karl nodded, impressed. This one has excellent potential. Once it evolves into Lilligant, it will be a solid special attacker. Alternatively, evolving into Hisuian Lilligant offers great physical attack power and healing abilities.

---

[Pokémon: Zubat]

Status: To be hatched

Gender: Male

Ability: Inner Focus (Cannot flinch or be intimidated)

Potential: Professional

Moves: Absorb

Inherited Moves: Curse, Venom Drench

Karl smiled slightly. Zubat is a superb scout. Its evolutionary line is strong, and Crobat's speed is invaluable in battle.

---

[Pokémon: Pidgey]

Status: To be hatched

Gender: Male

Ability: Keen Eye (Prevents accuracy reduction)

Potential: Professional

Moves: Tackle

Inherited Moves: Defog, Brave Bird, Foresight

Karl's eyes lit up as he reviewed Pidgey's information. Inherited Brave Bird is a rare and powerful flying move. With my King-level Qualification Elixir, I can maximize its potential. Once it evolves into Pidgeot, it can even Mega Evolve. Plus, Pidgeot was Ash's loyal companion—this feels right.

After some hesitation, Karl made his decision. He picked up the Pidgey egg. "You'll be my partner," he murmured with conviction.

---

Returning to the classroom with the egg in his hands, Karl spotted David and the others waving him over.

"Hey, Karl! Over here!" David called out.

Karl walked over, glancing at the Pokémon eggs on his classmates' desks. His eyes widened when he spotted a Charmander egg on one desk.

---

[Pokémon: Charmander]

Status: To be hatched

Gender: Male

Ability: Blaze (Boosts Fire-type moves when HP is low)

Potential: Gym Leader-level

Moves: Growl, Scratch

Inherited Moves: Dragon Dance, Outrage

---

Karl's jaw dropped. What kind of family is this? Those inherited moves are insane!

David noticed Karl staring. "So, Karl, what did you pick?"

Karl held up his egg. "It's a Pidgey egg," he replied calmly.

Wu Ni, who overheard their conversation, couldn't resist a sarcastic jab. "Let's hope it doesn't hatch into a Caterpie instead."

"Hey! What's your problem?" David snapped, defending Karl.

Karl held up a hand to stop him. "Relax, David. I know my choice is solid."

David nodded. "If Karl says it's a Pidgey, it's a Pidgey."

Wu Ni scoffed but said nothing more. Karl smiled inwardly. Just wait. I'll make you eat your words soon enough.

Karl glanced around the room again. His attention landed on another desk, where an Eevee egg sat proudly.

---

[Pokémon: Eevee]

Status: To be hatched

Gender: Female

Ability: Anticipation (Dream ability; senses dangerous moves)

Potential: Gym Leader-level

---

Karl blinked in surprise. This Eevee must come from a Sylveon line. Wealthy families often keep Eevees as pets. Its value rivals that of the starter Pokémon.

His gaze shifted to another classmate, Wang Long, whose Bulbasaur egg boasted Gym Leader-level potential. Karl nodded approvingly. As expected from the class monitor.

Finally, his eyes landed on Fang Yizheng's desk. Fang was known to come from a rich family, but he was humble and well-liked.

"Yo, Karl," Fang greeted with a grin.

Karl smiled back. "Hey, Fang."

But then he froze. His gaze locked onto the Pokémon egg on Fang's desk.

---

[Pokémon: Larvitar]

Status: To be hatched

Gender: Male

Ability: Guts (Boosts attack when inflicted with a status condition)

Potential: King-level

---

Karl's heart skipped a beat. A pseudo-legendary! That's not just money—that's family connections on another level.

---

Back at his desk, Karl decided to test out the system.

"Tana, sign in," he commanded.

---

[Ding! Daily sign-in successful. Reward: ¥100,000.]

---

Karl's eyes sparkled. "Tana, can I sign in at specific locations too?"

---

[Yes, host. Location-based sign-ins are available. Scanning for nearby locations...]

---

[Location found: School. Would you like to sign in?]

"Sign in!" Karl said eagerly.

---

[Ding! Location sign-in successful. Reward: Basic Pokémon Training Knowledge. Instilling now...]

---

"Wait—ahh!" Karl clutched his head as a wave of information flooded his mind.

After a moment, he exhaled deeply. "Tana, next time, warn me before doing that."

---

[Understood, host.]

---

Karl smirked as he processed the new knowledge. "Now let's try the lottery. Tana, I want to use my ten draws."

---

[Understood, host. Spinning the roulette...]

A giant wheel appeared before him, divided into sections of different colors—white, blue, purple, gold, and red.

One by one, rewards popped up:

---

[Potion (White) ×1]

[Poké Balls (White) ×10]

[¥100,000 Cash]

[Universal Pokémon Food (Low-Grade) (Blue) ×10 Bags]

[Self-Selected Three-Star Pokémon Egg (Gold)]

---

Karl's jaw dropped. "No way! A self-selected three-star Pokémon egg?!"

"Tana, can I pick any Pokémon I want?"

---

[Yes, host.]

---

Karl grinned mischievously. "Give me a 6V Torchic with Speed Boost!"

---

[Ding! Selection confirmed. Egg delivered to inventory.]

---

Karl felt a rush of excitement as a new egg appeared in his system. "Tana, you're the best!"

---

[Please maintain appropriate boundaries, host.]

---

Karl chuckled to himself. "With this, I'll dominate the Pokémon world in no time!"
