Next morning, she woke up early and took a bath. She allowed her hair to fall down and dressed in a light blue jeans trouser, a white shirt and a blue coat giving off a youthful vibe. She wore a white shoe and headed downstairs. The grandfather clock was reading 7:45am and the table was filled with tasty dishes but unlike yesterday, Mo Jingze was not around. She was unbothered about that as she sat down to eat.
Li Che arrived Star Hotel at 8:30am and walked elegantly into the area where the audition will be held. She sat outside the door as she waited for her name to be called. At her back sat an upcoming newcomer who was chatting excitedly about the audition.
Peng Yu was rumored to have climbed into the bed of one of the directors, Director Kang who was among the judges. Peng Yu was boasting loudly about the role as hers and other actresses stared at her enviously.
Li Che was called in and she bowed respectfully to the team of directors and she picked up a script. It was the scene where she found out she was pregnant.
Li Che closed her eyes and when she opened them it was bloodshot. Excitement, pain and anguish could be seen in her eyes. She staggered as she walked and fell to the floor, as she used her hand to protect her stomach, sitting on the floor disheveled, a tear rolled down her cheeks.
"No, I'm not, I did not, I did not betray elder sister" She stuttered and picked up her phone "Ou Lou, I'm pregnant" she shouted in tears and put the phone back.
Li Che stood up and wiped her tears before bowing to the judges.
A director stood up and clapped and soon the whole hall shook with applause.
"Awesome" someone said.
"Wait for our call" A director said.
Li Che smiled and walked out. As she exited the hotel, she called Su Wanwan and told her everything that happened.
Two days passed but Li Che was yet to receive any news about the audition. She sat at Pearl villa watching a movie when her phone rang, she looked at the caller's ID and saw it was Su Wanwan.
"Hey girl" Li Che called.
"Any news yet?" Su Wanwan asked
"Not yet" "That's because the role as been given to Peng Yu, there is an audition holding today by 2pm in Hyang Hotel for a role in 'DOOM'" Su Wanwan said.
"Which role?" Li Che asked excitedly.
"A supporting character as the male lead younger sister who fell in love with the main villain, I'm going to send you the summary" Su Wanwan said.
"okay" Li Che said and hung up.
Seconds later, her phone lit up as it received a message. Her phone immediately rang and she picked it up.
"Have you seen it?" Su Wanwan asked.
"Yep" Li Che said.
"Great. The male lead is Yu Beicheng and the female lead is Long Man and the villain is Gu Jingyu. Starring in this film will push you up to fame. Give it your best" Su Wanwan said.
"Understood" Li Che said and they chatted for a while before she hung up.
Yu Beicheng was a two time Rose light best actor award winner while Long Man was a national goddess, she was 28 but was bright and beautiful. Gu Jingyu was also a well-known actor but has a messy private life as he had been seen with different ladies and earned the title of playboy King
The film was centered around the main villain who was a drug lord. He killed the parents of the male lead and his sister. Along the line, the male lead falls in love with the female lead who was a military officer given the right to end the drug lord. The male lead being a police officer like his dad joined hands with his fiance to fight the drug lord. The male lead weakness was his sister so the drug lord makes the sister fall in love with him.
The script was quite good so Li Che was determined to give it her best. It was noon so she walked to her room to get dressed.
Li Che arrived Hyang Hotel by half past one. She was dressed in a pink flowing gown and sun glasses. She sat down waiting for her turn patiently.
When she was called,she walked inside and bowed to the directors and picked a script, it was the scene where she was about leaving the house to go stay with the main villain.
She held the box and bent her head allowing her hair to fall her face like she was contemplating. She let go of the box and sat on the bed.
"I don't think this is a good idea," she said and raised her head. Her eyes were filled with fleeting emotions of confusion and despair.
"But brother does not want me again," she added and pulled her hair.
She stood up and placed her hand on her waist as she raised her head up.
"But is it true that Mu Zichen killed dad and mum, but he doesn't look like that, but again looks are deceptive?" she said and sighed.
"I'm not going," she concluded and fell on the bed, but then her phone rang and she spoke into the phone.
"I'm coming now," she said and hurriedly stood up holding the box.
She looked around the room with regret in her eyes as she walked out, ending the scene.
This was one of the hardest scenes filled with complicated emotions, but she pulled it off in one go. The directors were dumbstruck, and their faces were filled with pity.
The scriptwriter was seated among them.
"Awesome, thus is the Lang Ting I want," he said.
"Expect our call," another of the directors said and winked at her.
Li Che smiled respectfully and walked out.
She called Su Wanwan to update her, and Su Wanwan laughed.
"The role is yours," Su Wanwan said.
"Thank you," Li Che said.
Li Che flagged down a taxi to take her to a mall to buy groceries to take home. She had decided to spend the night with her family. Since she and Mo Jingze argued at the dining table, she had not seen him again.
She stopped at the mall and saw two familiar figures, one was Qin Qing, the heir of the Qin family, the lead computer company in China.
She had a one-sided crush on Qin Qing during her high school days. The Qin family was a friend of the Li family, so he knew her siblings. They dated for three years, and then slowly he began to fall in love with someone else.
"Brother Qing," Li Che called, and the two figures turned to look at her. She was shocked; the female was Li Rou.
Li Che took some steps back.
"Hey Li Che, what's wrong?" Li Rou asked with a sinister smile.
"Qin Qing, you...." Li Che stuttered.
"What?" he asked with raised eyebrows. "We broke up on good terms," he added.
"With my sister?" Li Che asked.
"And what's wrong with that?" Qin Qing said and held Li Rou on her waist as they headed inside.
Li Che ran outside and sat on a corner, bawling her eyes out. She heard the horn of a car and raised her head; it was a black Porsche, and the window rolled down. It was Mo Jingze seated in the driver's seat.
