Chapter 6 - Chapter six :Relationship got better

Li Che returned to Pearl Villa after lunch. "Aunt Kang, you can leave early, I'll cook myself," Li Che said, and Aunt Kang nodded before departing.

Li Che took a bath and changed into a simple gown. She walked into the kitchen, her stomach growling with hunger. She opened the fridge and took out eggs and meat, quickly preparing dinner.

As she finished serving the food, she heard the horn of a car outside. She rushed to the door, her heart skipping a beat as she saw Mo Jingze stepping out of his black Porsche.

Mo Jingze walked towards her, a smile on his face. Li Che's face flushed as he hugged her lightly. He changed out of his shoes and into slippers, Li Che helping him remove his coat.

"Hmph! President Mo, what are you doing? Go take your bath and come downstairs to eat, I prepared the food myself," Li Che said, trying to sound stern.

"President Mo," Mo Jingze repeated, raising his eyebrows.

Li Che finished setting the table, and they ate in silence. Mo Jingze headed to the study room after dinner, but Li Che called out to him.

"Jingze," Li Che said, her voice soft.

"Yeah?" Mo Jingze replied.

"Where are you going?" Li Che asked.

"To the study room, I want to finish some work," Mo Jingze said.

"Can't you push it till tomorrow? You work so hard, you're human and you need rest. Go to the room and sleep, let me wash these dishes," Li Che said, her voice filled with concern.

"Your heart hurts for me?" Mo Jingze asked, his voice low and husky.

Li Che nodded forcefully, acting coy. "Yes."

Mo Jingze smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I'll listen to you," he said, his voice filled with promise.

The next morning, Li Che woke up to find Mo Jingze's arms still wrapped around her. She tried to move, but he held her tight.

"You're awake," Mo Jingze said, his early morning voice seductive.

Li Che's face flushed, and she climbed out of bed. Mo Jingze pulled her back into his arms, kissing her forehead.

"Morning kiss," he said, his eyes sparkling with amusement.

After Mo Jingze left for work, Li Che prepared rice porridge and took it to the hospital. At the hospital, Grandma and Grandpa were chatting while Mother Shen listened to them with Li Hao disturbing Li Che.

"Sis, when can I see President Mo?" Li Hao asked with pouted lips.

"He's busy," Li Che said.

Just then, Mo Jingze arrived at the hospital, carrying two nylon bags filled with fruits. Li Che's eyes widened in surprise as he bowed to Grandpa.

"Grandma, I bought fruits," Mo Jingze said respectfully.

Li Che's face flushed with embarrassment as Mo Jingze patted her head. "Jingze, you didn't inform me you were coming here," she complained.

"I thought you were going to set, I'm sorry," Mo Jingze said, his eyes sparkling with amusement.

Li Hao's eyes lit up with excitement as he asked Mo Jingze for a picture. Mo Jingze smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners, as he agreed.

As they took pictures, Li Che couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth in her heart. She was grateful for Mo Jingze's kindness and thoughtfulness.

As they chatted, Grandpa called out to Mo Jingze. "Jingze, come here," he said, his voice weak but determined.

Mo Jingze walked over to Grandpa, his eyes filled with concern. "I don't know how long I'm going to live again," Grandpa said, his voice filled with emotion.

Mo Jingze's face softened, his eyes filled with compassion. "You're going to live long, Grandpa. You're strong," he said.

"Jingze, take care of Li Che for me," Grandpa said, his voice filled with pleading.

Mo Jingze's eyes locked onto Li Che's, his gaze filled with promise. "I will, Grandpa. I'll take care of her for the rest of my life," he said, his voice filled with conviction.

Only a man like Mo Jingze could say that and Li Che felt sweet in her heart.

"Have Li Che meet your parents?" Mother Shen asked.

"Mum, we just got married," Li Che said.

"No mum, but my parents will love her, especially my mum. My family is not like all rich families that have internal struggles, we are one big family," Mo Jingze said with a smile.

"That's nice," Mother Shen said.

"Child, don't pamper Li Che very much, the more you pamper her, the more she will become stubborn. I know my granddaughter," Grandma said.

"Yes, Grandma," Mo Jingze nodded.

"When are you both giving me a great-grandchild?" Grandma asked.

"Grandma, Mum," Li Che and Mother Shen called out in unison.

"That's right, you hide President Mo from me, so I need a little President Mo to play with," Li Hao said.

"Li Hao," Li Che yelled.

"Soon, Grandma," Mo Jingze said, and Li Che heaved a sigh of relief. He knew what to say. "But she works so hard, she doesn't have enough time for me," he added pitifully.

"Mo Jingze," Li Che called out.

"Li Che, that's not right. In everything, family comes first before work," Grandma said, and Li Che nodded.

"You should be at work," Mother Shen said.

"I came to see Grandpa," Mo Jingze said.

"You should leave," Li Che said.

"Are you chasing him away?" Li Hao complained.

"If there's nothing, I will be leaving. I will come see you again, Li Hao," Mo Jingze said and left.
