Chereads / The Omega Nobody Noticed / Chapter 10 - 10. Wanessa is a snow wolf

Chapter 10 - 10. Wanessa is a snow wolf

AT THE SAME TIME

XAVIER'S POV:

I carried Wanessa up the staircase, her body limp in my arms, exhaustion pulling her under. She had fought against sleep, as stubborn as always, but the moment her head rested against my shoulder, she surrendered. My omega. Michael and Terrence followed silently behind me, their usual banter replaced by calm looks. I pushed open the door to her chambers and laid her down carefully on the silk sheets. She barely stirred, only a soft sigh escaping her lips. I brushed a stray strand of hair from her face, my fingers lingering longer than they should.

'Wanny…"She whispered.

"What?"I asked.

She shifted slightly, curling deeper into the blanket. "Wanny…"She repeated.

"That is her wolf's name."Elder said.

A quiet settled over the room, the kind that only came with revelation. Michael let out a low whistle.

"Wanny, huh? Sounds fitting."He said.

I was standing at the foot of the bed, the tension in my chest growing with every passing second. The room was silent except for the faint rustling of the elder's pages as he scanned through the ancient tome in his hands. The air seemed heavy, almost suffocating, as I watched Wanessa lying there, still barely awake. Her eyes fluttered closed, her breathing shallow. My heart skipped when I saw it, her wolf ears. Soft, white as snow, and gently twitching atop her head. My breath caught in my throat, and for a moment, I just stood there, stunned.

"She... she's the one?" I whispered, the words slipping out of my mouth before I could stop them.

The elder, who had been quietly flipping through the book, looked up at us with a mix of awe and certainty.

"Yes. She is the true Luna."Elder said.

She's the Luna? My gaze flicked between my brothers, but their expressions mirrored my shock. We'd all known, instinctively, that something about Wanessa was different. But this? This was more than we had ever imagined. And then, as if the universe wasn't done throwing us into chaos, I saw it,a second change. Her tail. It was soft at first, just brushing the edge of the blanket before it began to unfurl, the pure white fur glowing in the dim light of the room.

It grew longer, curling behind her in delicate, graceful loops, as if it had always been there and we just hadn't noticed.

"This is impossible..." I muttered, staring at her. "How could she-"

The elder's voice cut through my confusion.

"It's not impossible. She is awakening her wolf, something many humans never experience." His eyes narrowed, studying her closely. "But there is more to her than what you see. She is... the one. The Luna destined for you three."

"So she is omega who is actually a true luna?"Terrence asked.

"Indeed she is. It's rare to happen in humans but appearently in her village nobody noticed it since one of her parents must have been a human and another one a werewolf."Elder explained.

"She beautiful."Michael muttered.

"She is."I whispered.

I tried to make sense of his words, but before I could, Wanessa shifted in her sleep, muttering under her breath.

"Game." She whispered, her lips barely moving. "Game... game..."

"What did she just say?" Michael asked, stepping forward, his tone confused.

"Game." I repeated.

What was she talking about? Was it some sort of memory, a remnant of the past? Before I could ask her, or try to get any answers, Wanessa's body tensed. She gasped, like a sudden shock jolted through her, and her wolf ears twitched again. I took a step back, my breath catching in my throat. This is real. She wasn't just a human, she was the one we'd all been waiting for, her transformation, the proof of the bond we felt.

The elder, who had been observing all this quietly, spoke up again.

"This is... incredible." He said softly, almost in reverence. "Her wolf is awakening, and with it, the full strength of her bond to you three. But there is something... unusual. She seems unaware of the true weight of her connection to you."

Wanessa's eyes fluttered open again, her face pale and confused. She sat up, her gaze scanning the room frantically like she was trying to piece together what was happening.

"Where... where am I?" She muttered.

I wanted to say something, to comfort her, but before I could speak, she started to tremble again. The panic was rising in her like a storm, and I could see the fight in her eyes. She was struggling to understand everything, to make sense of what was happening to her. I reached out, but she pulled away, her voice shaking.

"I- I don't understand. I didn't ask for this. Please... stop it."She begged.

She was trying to get up, but her body was trembling too much.

"Game. Game. I'm just a character... A background... I don't belong here."She repeated.

I didn't know what she meant, but I didn't have time to think about it. She darted toward the window, her movements sharp and desperate.

"I need to leave. Please... I need to go."She said.

Before anyone could stop her, she threw open the window, her feet scrambling to find way to get up on it. My heart dropped into my stomach.

"Wanessa!" I shouted, rushing forward, but she was already gone.

She leaped. I barely had time to react as I rushed toward the window, my hands gripping the sill. But it was too late. She was gone.

"Dammit!" I cursed under my breath, spinning on my heel to face my brothers. "We have to go after her. Now."

Terrence was already at the door, his jaw clenched tight.

"She can't just run off like that. What the hell is going on with her?"Terrence asked angrily.

Michael was right behind him, his face set with determination.

"She's our mate. She's not going anywhere."Michael said

"Xavier, listen to me carefully. Wanessa isn't just any wolf. She's the True Luna. That means she is your destined mate, but not just yours, yours and your brothers'. She holds the bloodline of the moon itself. The bond between you and her it's far more significant than anything you can imagine. The true power of the pack comes from her, and without her, it will unravel."Elder explained.

"She doesn't know, does she?" I murmured. "She's never known what she is."

"Her pack kept her hidden, kept her from understanding her true nature. They feared it. But now it's awakening, and the bond between you three is what will either complete her or break her. If she resists this, if she rejects the bond, it will tear her apart. And the consequences could be catastrophic."Elder said.

"So… we need to help her accept it. To show her who she really is."Terrence said.

"But there's one more thing you need to know. If she resists too much, if things go bad... You will need to sedate her, at least temporarily. I've brought something for that."Elder said.

"Sedate her?"Michael asked.

Elder Charlie reached into his cloak and handed me a small vial of clear liquid.

"This is a calming medicine. It will help if she's too overwhelmed. We can't risk her spiraling out of control, not with the power she holds inside her."Elder repeated.

"Take it." Elder urged. "Keep it close, just in case. But remember, you cannot force her into this. She has to choose it for herself."

""The True Luna? Then why didn't we know sooner? Why didn't we feel the bond earlier before she saved our brother? I heard true Luna is way stronger and more special than usual omega."Terrence said.

"Her pack kept her hidden. They feared what she could become, and now her powers are awakening. The bond between you three is pushing that forward, and she can't handle it yet."Elder said.

"We need to find her. She's already fled the castle, and we're running out of time."Michael said.

"We'll track her down. We'll make her see it. We can't afford to lose her."I said.

I nodded before putting the bottle in my pocket and running out of the castle. We needed to find her and bring her home.
