Chapter 14 - 14. A snow wolf transformation

IN A MORNING

AT WANESSA'S POV:

A dull throbbing pulsed behind my eyes as consciousness slowly crept back into my body. My limbs felt… strange. Heavy, yet weightless at the same time, as if I was floating. The scent of fresh air, warm fabric, and something vaguely familiar surrounded me. Wait a second? Ears? The world wasn't just clearer, it was different. I could hear heartbeats in the room, steady breathing, the shift of clothing against skin. Then I noticed them. Xavier. Michael. Terrence. The Beta. The King. The Queen. They were all staring at me. Eyes wide. Unmoving. As if they couldn't believe what they were seeing.I tried to speak.

"What...?" But the voice that came out wasn't my own. It was a low, soft whimper—a wolf's sound.

No. No, no, no. I looked down at myself and instantly felt a wave of dizziness. Instead of my usual hands, there were paws. Instead of my normal skin, I was covered in pure white fur. I wasn't human. I wasn't me. I was-. I felt panic taking all over me again.

"A white wolf…" Xavier's voice was barely a whisper, but the weight of his words filled the room like thunder.

"Wanessa?" Michael's voice was full of disbelief. "You... you shifted."

Shifted? My wolf. Wanny. Had she taken over? But this wasn't just her. Why now?

"She's... a True Luna."Queen whispered.

Those words rang through my head, but I could barely process them. I turned my gaze to Xavier, silently begging him for an explanation. But he didn't move, didn't speak. His golden eyes were locked onto me like he had just seen something impossible.

"Wanessa, it's okay. Just… breathe."Terrence said gently.

I let out a shuddering exhale, my tail curling around my body as I tried to calm myself. My reflection in the polished floor caught my attention, and I flinched.

I wasn't just a wolf. I was a massive, pure white wolf, my fur almost glowing in the dim light of the room. My eyes still mine, still that deep amber stood out starkly against my pale coat.

"What- what's going on? She's- she's in wolf form!"Michael shouted.

"Wanessa, it's okay. Stay with us, please." Terrence's words were gentle.

I let out another sharp whine, pacing back and forth, my senses overwhelmed. The world around me was so much louder, the smells too strong everything was too vivid. I tried to take a step forward, but my legs buckled beneath me. I fell, paws sliding against the stone floor, my heart pounding as I realized just how weak I was. The wolf inside me was pushing me to act, to move, to run.

Xavier, his dark eyes intense but gentle, knelt beside me, his hand reaching toward my fur.

"It's alright." Xavier murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. "We're here. You're not alone."

"Wanny…?"I said.

"You can do this, Wanessa. You're strong. You're meant to be a Luna." Wanny said supportively. "Trust me."

"Please..." Michael's voice was so full of pain. He reached out, gently touching my fur. 'Wanessa, it's alright. We'll help you. We're here for you."

But I couldn't respond. The wolf inside me refused to listen. She was powerful, much more than I could ever be, and she was controlling me. I backed away, growling again as I backed into the far corner of the room.

"Don't." Terrence's voice was gentle but firm. "Please, stay with us. Let us help you."

Every head turned toward the entrance. My ears flicked at the sound, instincts sharpening, my new form hyperaware of the smallest changes in the ai. Then he stepped in. The Elder. His presence was commanding yet calm, his long robes swaying as he walked with measured steps. He knew. the Elder wasn't surprised.

"So, it has finally happened." He murmured, his deep voice rich with warmth.

Finally? I lowered my head slightly, unsure how to react, but his gaze never wavered. A demand for explanations. Instead, the Elder merely smiled, a softness in his eyes that soothed the chaos in my chest.

"You are even more magnificent than I imagined." He said gently.

I let out a sharp exhale, my breath warm against the cool air. My claws pressed against the marble floor, my tail curling instinctively around my body. I wasn't used to this form, wasn't used to being this exposed, this different.

"What's happening to me?" I wanted to ask. But no words left my mouth just a soft, uncertain whimper.

The Elder knelt slightly, his movements slow, respectful.

"Do not be afraid, child. This is who you are."He said.

His words sent a shiver through me. I had spent days weeks wondering where I belonged, questioning if I was even from this world. I felt so confused.

"There's something else." Xavier spoke suddenly, breaking the silence. His golden eyes flickered with hesitation before locking onto the Elder. "Wanny told us something before Wanessa shifted."

My ears twitched at his words, a strange tension settling into my chest.

"She said Wanessa thinks she's from another world."He said.

I stiffened, my tail curling slightly against my side as a strange, suffocating silence filled the space. The Elder blinked, as if he had misheard. Michael and Terrence exchanged confused glances. Even King William and Queen Clara, who had been standing near the entrance, frowned.

"What?" The Elder finally asked, his voice cautious.

"She thinks she's not from here." Xavier continued, his tone unreadable. "That she came from somewhere else entirely. Another world. And-." His voice tightened slightly." that there's another Luna."

A murmur of confusion rippled through the room.

"Another Luna? That doesn't make sense. There's only one Luna per pack."Michael said.

"I don't understand either." Xavier admitted, rubbing his jaw. "But Wanny was serious when she said it."

The Elder stepped closer, studying me carefully, his expression now unreadable.

"Wanessa." He said slowly, voice steady. "Why would you think that?"

How could I explain something that I barely understood myself? That I had felt wrong in this world from the moment I woke up? That my memories were blurred, like pieces of a puzzle that didn't quite fit together?

"I just... I don't remember belonging here."I said slowly.

'You were born in Blue Moon Pack. How could you think you're from somewhere else?"Terrence asked.

"I don't know!" My voice was sharper than I intended, my frustration boiling over. "I just feel it! Like I wasn't meant to be here, like I was someone else before all of this! But I don't remember who. Or how." I said angrily.

The Elder's face remained thoughtful, but I could see the uncertainty in his eyes.

"And another Luna." He pressed gently.

"I don't know. But… I feel like she exists. Somewhere. And if she appears-" My throat tightened. "I think you'll lose me.

"That's ridiculous." Terrence said, though his voice lacked conviction. "You're our Luna. That won't change."

But I wasn't so sure. If some of my memories were removed what was real and what was not?
