It seemed Elmyra was sleeping while a short blanket covered her body.
Valtar patiently waited while holding his sword. He kept looking at the elf beauty.
Chaos and regret filled his mind.
Sensing the human standing silently and waiting for her to get up Elmyra let out a sigh as she got up and sat down. She calmly looked at the man who ravaged her like a beast from inside out. The human was so rough with her at a certain point. She almost felt aggrieved by the hateful man and almost wanted to pout.
However, soon her focus turned to the sword he was wielding while standing next to her as a small disappointment flashed through her eyes.
She looked at him studied his face carefully, and looked into his eyes.
She could see regret and sorrow. There was a hint of longing in them as well. Those eyes which only held madness and lust previously.
She let out a sad smile as she asked him, "Father always told me, humans are very emotional creatures. I didn't expect it was to this extent."
"I expected you to end me swiftly, while I was pretending to be asleep after you finished doing the deed."
"Yet, look at you? Just because you mated with me now, you have feelings for me? How foolish."
Valtar gritted his teeth and did not look into her eyes. "What nonsense are you spouting?"
Elmyra replied calmly, "Look at you, you can't look into my eyes. You look like you're about to cry. Your breathing is ragged and the hand you're holding the sword with is shaking."
Valtar had a grim expression on his face. He opened his mouth to say something, but no words came. He did not know what to say as he simply closed his mouth, unable to refute.
Elmyra, who had sad smile on her face till now, hardened her expression and looked at him with steely gaze as she stated, "Look at me human."
He did not look.
"I SAID LOOK AT ME!" said Elmyra in rage.
Valtar looked into her eyes with a slightly pained expression as he met her cold and emotionless gaze.
She said, "Spare me your sympathy, human, spare me your worthless emotions. I do not need them. I will never be your BITCH. I will never be your woman who simply exists to satisfy your Desires."
"You know there is no way forward for you but to kill me. There can only be one being who escapes the forest with its legacy. So, I would rather not have you extend my time just to live knowing my days are numbered. Do not extend my pain anymore. Do not humiliate me further." She added.
"The moment my team and I--we were defeated by you--I was ready to die."
This time she took a pause and her cold expression cracked as she looked upwards to the light of dawn. "My entire life, I was trapped in this damn forest and my entire existence was for this day when I would bring back the blood crystal and fight alongside my tribe members with the Fae folks. Yet how beautifully I have failed."
She looked into Valtar's eyes again. Tears were flowing uncontrollably from his ocean-blue eyes. She let out a sad laugh as tears also started coming out of her beautiful eyes to her pale cheeks as her breathtaking beauty was even more enchanted by the light of dawn.
She made one final request to him this time with an almost pleading tone,
"So, please just end my suffering."
"Please….."
Valtar's eyes were filled with despair. He looked at the beauty and could not refute any of her claims. Everything she said was true. He wanted to tell her it would be ok. He would take care of everything. He wanted to tell her that he would save her.
But Valtar could not because it would be a lie. It would be only selfish of him to keep her alive any longer. It would only extend her suffering.
Valtar took a step forward.
Raised his sword, he hardened his resolve and looked at her one last time with pure longing. The elf princess on the other hand looked at him with slight gratitude and nodded.
Then the cruel human plunged his sword right into the stomach of the elven beauty.
Valtar grits his teeth so hard, that his gums almost start bleeding. An extremely twisted expression of guilt and self-loathing appeared on his face as blood flowed like a river from the elf beauty's wound.
Elmyra, with the last ounce of strength she could muster, held his face with her bloodied hands, looking at his handsome face twisted in sorrow and guilt. She put her hands around him as she embraced him of her own accord for the first and last time as she said her last words, barely like a whisper,
"Goodbye... pitiful.... hu...man....."
As her last words echoed in the silent forest, Valtar could feel her breathing no more. Her heart beating no more, her warmth no more.
He hugged her tightly as he started to sob,
"I'm sorry….I'm sorry...…I'm so sorry...…."
Her hands that held him in the last moments did not have strength left in them as they simply hung loose lifelessly.
Valtar held her even more closely, unwilling to let go. Elmyra's blood covered his entire body as the man hugged the woman's dead body, both drowning in blood.
Valtar said to her while sobbing breathlessly,
"I love you..."
He simply held onto her body forgetting about everything else.
Only his cries could be heard in the forest.
After a long time, he still held onto the woman's body but blood no longer flowed from her wound, her beautiful face now looked lifeless, and the blood that was covering Valtar's entire body now almost felt dried up. He had been crying since the moment he held onto her, yet now, no more tears came out.
Just like when his mother died, a human could not keep shedding tears no matter how great their grief was.
He slowly let go of her body and stood up.
He now had a lifeless and cold expression on his face.
He then decided he would bury her here. He used his sword to slowly dig the ground right beside a medium-sized tree.
After having dug enough to lay her comfortably, he got up and went closer to Elmyra's body as he gently picked her up.
Valtar laid her down making sure her body was laid comfortably. He then looked at her again, his cold expression threatening to crack. He gritted his teeth and held her closer, hugged her one last time, and whispered,
"Goodbye, my...… first.... love."
He got up and slowly put back the dug-up soil as Elmyra's body got covered up by it.
After making sure it was properly covered by soil, he used his sword to slowly carve out her name into the tree right beside her resting ground.
He carved out the words,
"E.L.M.Y.R.A"
Valtar gently touched the letters and could not help but think, why did things turn out this way? If he knew it would hurt so much he would not have done the deed with her.
Why did he have such strong feelings for her for just doing it with her? Was it because she was the very first woman he did it with? Was it the manipulation of the fae queen? Was it simply his delusion to want a companion in this new and unfamiliar world?
No, it was none of that. Perhaps he had been unconsciously infatuated with her from the moment he met or their second encounter. Valtar wasn't entirely sure.
"Yeah, that's right. I've always been like that, even back on earth, I had only ever been in love with that one woman my entire life. From the very first time I had seen her and now, this again."
Memories surfaced in his mind as he let out a hollow laugh.
He looked at her grave one last time and turned away with a determined expression.
Walking closer to the elf named Malrith, he saw the guy looking forward with a deadpan expression. His eyes were entirely hollow and lifeless.
Even when Valtar stood right in front of him, he continued to stare blankly ahead as if not aware of the world in any way.
Valtar thought, 'Did this guy go into shock?'
But honestly, he couldn't care less about this guy. He simply let him live and watch how he rocked the princess out of pure spite.
Then he looked downward to this guy's private part and, seeing it slightly wet, he felt disgusted and furious and slapped the elven archer, "Disgusting bastard did you get turned on by how I f*** your princess non-stop?"
After being slapped back to sense and hearing what the disgusting human said, the elven archer struggled furiously as he started screaming incoherent words.
However, Valtar understood what he meant,
'you…killed…her,
you…killed…her,
you…killed…her…'
He clenched his fists and gnashed his teeth hearing those words, as his mood soured again with sadness. He raised his sword and looked at the elf straight in the as he said,
"I know but don't worry."
"For that, I hate myself more than you do, more than anyone ever could."
Valtar horizontally slashed at the elf and cleanly severed his neck.
Blood flowed like a fountain from his severed neck, and Valtar simply moved away.
He had no interest in letting the blood of the stinky archer come in contact with him.
