Indah stared at her left leg that was in a cast with a horrified look. Her leg that she had previously seen as smooth was now wrapped in that stiff bandage. She said that the object could quickly heal her broken leg, but what she felt was the opposite. She felt cramps almost all over her leg.
"Don't worry, it won't be long before it's opened, Indah."
The woman looked up. She saw her friend in a nurse's uniform tidying up her medicines that she had accidentally spilled on the floor. Her full lips pursed. She preferred to see what was in there. It felt so sore when she tried to move her leg.
"Until when? I really can't stand this." she grumbled a little annoyed.
Selly took a deep breath. She actually wanted to shout at her friend's face. But unfortunately, there is a medical world ethics that prohibits rude behavior towards patients. Maybe if it could be seen in the picture in the comic, smoke would have billowed above her head.
"You're overreacting. At least hold it in until your honeymoon arrives." she snapped.
Indah's eyes immediately widened. She was shocked that Selly knew about her plan with Adrian in the next few weeks. "You know?"
Selly smiled slightly. Of course, it wasn't just her who knew, but almost the entire hospital was shocked by the explosion of sound made by Mrs. Hani. The middle-aged woman looked very excited until she followed Adrian into her room. The woman persuaded her son to follow all the plans she had made.
"Who wouldn't know if your mother-in-law was whining all the way to Adrian?" Selly tilted her head. If only Adrian hadn't glared at her, she might have burst out laughing at that moment, just like everyone else who saw it.
Indah couldn't help but blush hearing that. Her relationship with Adrian was still very young. It hadn't even been a month yet, but she felt very happy. Her two very kind in-laws and also... Adrian who was starting to open up to her. What else did she want now? It felt like the embarrassing incident on the altar had been paid off.
The woman played with her fingers while sitting on the bed. She looked down at her fingers. Whether it was just for fun or what, sometimes her feelings of happiness could make her look so stupid. Just like when Rama proposed to her, she felt the same way. But now, the feeling grew bigger when she was with Adrian. Her stomach felt tickled remembering that a few nights ago until now, Adrian was still faithful to accompany her in the hospital. Adrian always filled the empty bed every night, with the excuse that the man didn't want to sleep on the sofa.
"You know, I feel like I'm stupid again for the umpteenth time. This feeling is the same as when Rama proposed to me, but it feels very deep. Like there's a nail that has been soldered here." Indah pointed to her own chest. Sure enough, inside there one of her organs was throbbing very fast. Her body heated up remembering Adrian, even just reciting his name in her heart.
The woman in the nurse's uniform sat on the side of Indah's bed. She couldn't help but smile. She was happy if Indah was happy, that's how simple their friendship was. And now, she felt the happiness that Indah transmitted. She was happy that Indah could finally get through it all well. Not many out there are able to do it like Indah.
Marrying your brother-in-law? It's not easy. Adrian is a stranger to Indah. She has never met him before. For women out there, marrying someone like Adrian is a dream come true. However, the Indah she knows does not have that attitude. Since childhood, Indah has never expected excessive things. When everyone in the orphanage asked for nice things on Christmas Eve, Indah just sat on her bed playing with dolls. She just hoped that her eyes would still be open when Christmas Eve was over, that's all.
Selly grabbed Indah's hand. The woman forced her hands to focus on her. Indah, who was conscious, immediately looked at Selly who looked at her softly. "Are you happy, huh?"
Indah nodded slowly. Maybe if there was a better response, she would choose that option. Her feelings were more than just happiness.
"Woah, Girl's Talk?"
Selly and Indah both turned towards the deep voice that had just interrupted their conversation. There Adrian was standing with his arms crossed in the doorway. He never forgot to give a sweet smile, especially to Indah. The man was now standing again with a pastel pink shirt covered by his white doctor's coat. He looked sparkling where Indah was, always.
"The Disturber is coming." Selly quipped, who immediately left Indah's room. She chose to leave her best friend with her husband.
The situation in Indah's room changed to silence when they were alone. Adrian felt awkward being alone with his wife. Indeed, every night he always slept beside her, precisely on the narrow bed. But in a state where his wife was sleeping. He rarely visited his wife's ward during the day except at lunchtime. And now the time was only 10 o'clock. There were still two hours left for that.
"Hi .." Indah greeted in a low tone.
Slowly the man walked and sat beside his wife. The empty side of the bed was slightly lowered because the man had placed his buttocks there.
"So?" asked Indah. The woman smiled widely waiting for the answer that came out of her husband's lips.
Adrian raised his eyebrows, "So.."
Without having to explain at the beginning, Adrian already knew where his wife's conversation was headed. He knew Indah was waiting for his answer, whether he agreed to his mother's request for a honeymoon. It's just that now he wasn't ready. Moreover, they were going to Korea, a country that Adrian didn't know the ins and outs of at all.
Adrian never thought about himself. One thing he was worried about was Indah. Even his mother's whining that embarrassed him was ignored until Indah shouted at him angrily when she saw her mother sad.
"I can go by myself if you don't want to."
"Don't!" Adrian refused firmly. Who would guarantee that his wife could return to Indonesia. He knew Indah wasn't very good at English, what if something happened there.
Indah tilted her head. The enthusiastic smile she had shown earlier disappeared just like that. Just as she had suspected, Adrian didn't want to go with her. This wasn't just a honeymoon, but going to Korea had been her dream for a long time. She often saw on television how the sweet men danced there. And her dream was only one, she could see her idol artist, Kim Jaejoong there.
The flower boy became her obsession, without Adrian's knowledge.
"I want to go there, do you like it or not!" she insisted.
Adrian sighed in frustration. He should have known arguing with his wife was not a good thing. Indah had a million tons in her head. The stubbornness of her little head almost made him go crazy every time they argued.
"You're still sick."
"Whatever. I'll still go." Indah stared at him fiercely. For her, Adrian could always be her Moodboster. The man was good at playing with her emotions that were previously good but now they're getting worse.
"Gosh. Look, your eyes are almost popping out because of your stubbornness, honey." Adrian said in a tone that pretended to be sad.
"Don't seduce me. I'll still go and now I'm mad at you!"
Adrian moved closer to Indah. His face that was only an inch away from Indah's nose was left alone. The woman's warm breath was always what he liked. "Are you mad at me?"
Indah stuttered. She didn't know why Adrian now looked scary in her eyes. Moreover, those hazel eyes stared at her with a charm that she couldn't explain. Adrian was indeed handsome, that was no longer a secret. But the man was not only handsome, but too sexy for her to pass.
"Y-Yes.. I'm angry!"
CUP
Adrian kissed his wife's full lips, making the owner of those lips move.
"Are you still angry?"
Indah was still pensive. Her eyes stared blankly at Adrian.
CUP
For the second time, the man's red lips landed perfectly on Indah's full lips. But this time the woman immediately looked at him fiercely.
"Damn you Adrian! You stole my third kiss. I hate you." Indah cursed angrily.
Adrian smiled when he heard his wife's curse. At least the red rind on both cheeks showed otherwise. Indah blushed, and that meant the woman liked him.
"I love you too, honey." Adrian brought his lips close to Indah's ear with a seductive gaze. "If I decide we're going there, you won't be able to count anymore."
