Chapter 1 - Sweet Love

Kazuma pushed open the door to their cozy apartment, balancing the grocery bags in one arm as he nudged the door closed with his foot. The aroma of coffee filled the air, a comforting scent that blended perfectly with the warmth of their home. His light blue hair caught the fading rays of sunlight streaming through the window, and his light blue eyes softened as they landed on the love of his life.

Masako sat at her desk, intently playtesting their latest game. She had chocolate brown skin, dark brown hair, and golden eyes. She had a cute, pretty face and shapely figure. She had a blue V-neck shirt with black pants slips. She also had brown pantyhose, a golden necklace, a golden bracelet, golden chains hanging tight to her waist, black heels with blue butterflies on the tips, and a blue neck collar. Her fingers danced across the keyboard, her golden eyes narrowing in focus as she tried to work past a particularly troublesome bug in the game.

When she heard the door close, Masako turned her head, and her eyes immediately lit up with love and affection. "Dear, you're home!" she exclaimed, abandoning her chair to rush toward him. She threw her arms around him, hugging him tightly and planting a kiss on his cheek.

Kazuma chuckled, setting the grocery bags down to return the hug. "Of course, sweetie. I even brought you something special." He pulled a coffee out of one of the bags and handed it to her.

Masako's golden eyes sparkled as she took the cup. "Thank you, dear. You always know how to treat me." She took a sip, her lips curving into a satisfied smile. Meanwhile, Kazuma began putting the groceries away, glancing over at her.

"So, how's it going with the game?" he asked as he placed a carton of eggs into the fridge.

Masako sighed and leaned against the counter. "It's going okay, but I keep getting stuck on this section because of a stupid bug. I can't progress in the level until it's fixed, and it's driving me crazy." Her tone was a mix of frustration and determination.

Kazuma frowned slightly, closing the fridge door. "You've been at it all day, haven't you? I told you to take a break, sweetie."

"But I need to get this fixed, dear," Masako protested, her hands clutching the coffee cup as she straightened up.

Kazuma wasn't having it. With a quick step over to her desk, he reached out and turned off her computer before she could stop him. Masako gasped, her golden eyes wide with shock as the screen went dark. "Kazuma!" she exclaimed, but there was no real anger in her voice.

He crossed his arms and pouted, his light blue eyes narrowing playfully. "You've been working all day, dear. You need to take a break, or you'll burn yourself out."

Masako sighed in defeat, setting her coffee down on the counter. "Fine, but only if you cuddle with me," she said with a smirk, her golden eyes glinting mischievously.

Kazuma grinned and extended a hand toward her. "Deal. Come on, sweetie, let's relax for a while."

Masako took his hand, and the two made their way to the couch. As they settled in, Kazuma wrapped an arm around her waist while she rested her head on his shoulder. The warmth of their shared love filled the room as they cuddled close, their hearts beating in rhythm.

For a moment, there was no talk of bugs or deadlines, just the simple, quiet joy of being together.

Late into the night, the apartment was silent except for the soft tapping of a keyboard. Kazuma sat at his desk, his light blue hair slightly tousled and his light blue eyes focused on the glowing screen in front of him. The warm light from the desk lamp cast a faint glow over the room as he continued to code, his fingers moving with precision and speed. A half-empty coffee cup sat next to him, its contents long cold, but he hadn't noticed.

He glanced at the clock. It was well past midnight, and Masako was already asleep—or so he thought. He had insisted she get her rest earlier, knowing she'd worked hard all day playtesting their game. Now, he was determined to handle the remaining coding on his own so she wouldn't have to worry about it tomorrow. After all, that was what a loving husband did—lightened the load for the woman he adored.

The sound of soft footsteps behind him broke his concentration. Kazuma turned to see Masako standing in the doorway. Her chocolate brown skin seemed to glow in the dim light, and her dark brown hair was slightly messy from sleep. She was wrapped in a cozy blanket, her golden eyes gazing at him with both concern and affection.

"Dear," she said softly, her voice still tinged with sleep, "what are you doing up so late? I thought we agreed you'd get some rest, too."

Kazuma smiled gently and leaned back in his chair. "I'm okay, sweetie. I just wanted to finish up some coding so you wouldn't have to worry about it tomorrow. Go back to bed. You need your rest."

But Masako wasn't having it. She stepped into the room, her blanket trailing behind her, and walked over to him. "Kazuma, you've been working just as hard as I have. If you're staying up late, then I'm staying up with you." Her tone was firm, but the love in her golden eyes softened the words.

"Masako, really, it's fine—"

"No arguments, dear," she interrupted, pulling a chair up beside him. She sat down, wrapping the blanket tighter around herself and leaning her head against his shoulder. "If you're working, I'm keeping you company. That's final."

Kazuma couldn't help but chuckle. "You're stubborn, you know that?"

"Of course I am. That's why you love me," she teased, smiling up at him. "Now, show me what you're working on."

He sighed in mock defeat but leaned closer to the computer, explaining the code he was writing and the adjustments he was making to their game. Masako listened intently, occasionally asking questions or offering suggestions. Her golden eyes sparkled with interest, and Kazuma found himself smiling at her enthusiasm despite the late hour.

At one point, she reached for his coffee cup and wrinkled her nose. "Kazuma, this is cold. You're drinking cold coffee?"

"It's fine," he said, shrugging. "I didn't notice."

Masako shook her head and stood up, her blanket still wrapped around her shoulders. "Stay here. I'll make you a fresh cup." Before he could protest, she was already heading to the kitchen.

When she returned a few minutes later, she handed him a steaming mug of coffee and sat back down beside him. Kazuma took a sip and sighed contentedly. "Thanks, sweetie. You didn't have to do that."

"Of course I did," she said, resting her head on his shoulder again. "I take care of you, just like you take care of me."

They worked quietly for a while longer, the late-night atmosphere wrapping them in a cocoon of warmth and intimacy. Eventually, Masako's head began to droop, and Kazuma realized she was falling asleep against him.

He smiled and gently brushed a strand of dark brown hair from her face. "You're exhausted, Masako. Let's go to bed."

She murmured something unintelligible, her golden eyes fluttering open briefly. "Only if you come with me, dear."

"Deal," he said softly, shutting down his computer and standing up. He scooped her up into his arms, blanket and all, and carried her to their bedroom.

As they lay in bed together, Masako snuggled close to him, her golden eyes glowing faintly in the darkness. "You work too hard, dear," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

"So do you, sweetie," he replied, wrapping his arms around her. "But we'll always take care of each other, right?"

"Always," she murmured before drifting off to sleep.

Kazuma closed his eyes, a small smile on his lips. No matter how hard the work was, moments like these made it all worth it.
