Chapter 51 - Chapter 51 : Sola ll

Linggis continued to stare at Sola with a blank expression, but behind his eyes, calculations were already in motion. He knew Sola wasn't just anyone—she was one of the strongest hunters number two in Korea, someone with immense power and influence. If she truly intended to trap him, it wasn't something to be taken lightly.

After a moment of silence, Linggis finally spoke. "Why me?"

Sola smiled, this time softer, but there was still an underlying tension lurking beneath. "Because you're the only one who isn't afraid of me."

Linggis frowned. "Plenty of people aren't afraid of you."

"No, they're just pretending," Sola replied casually. "They respect me because of my status and strength. But you? You genuinely don't care. Even when we first met, you looked at me like I was just another person."

Linggis recalled their first meeting. It was during an A-rank dungeon mission, long before the SSS-gate incident. At that time, Sola was already infamous as a cold and ruthless hunter, while Linggis was just an independent hunter who worked however he pleased.

While most people kept their distance from her, Linggis had spoken to her casually, teased her without hesitation, and even criticized her battle strategy. No fear, no pretense. That had caught Sola's attention—or perhaps, her obsession.

"So that's all?" Linggis looked at her sharply. "You don't seem like the type to make big decisions over something so trivial."

Sola chuckled softly. "Of course not. That was just the beginning. The more I watched you, the more I realized you were different from everyone else. You're strong, intelligent… and completely uncontrollable."

Linggis scoffed. "And you want to change that?"

"No," Sola shook her head. "I want to make sure you stay by my side. If I have to use a slightly extreme method to do that, then so be it."

Linggis stared at her for a long moment before finally letting out a deep sigh. "You do realize this isn't normal, right?"

Sola gave a small smile. "I was never a normal person, Linggis."

Linggis rubbed his temples, realizing that his once simple life had now turned into something far more complicated. But one thing was certain—he couldn't just walk away.

Not when someone like Sola had already decided to bind

him to her for life.
