Linggis stared at the monitor casually, tapping his fingers on the table. "So, you came here to ask about the location of the SSS-rank dungeon?" he said in a flat but sarcastic tone.
Sola shot him a sharp look. "Of course. You're the one who knows the most about these patterns and data. If not you, then who else can give us the answer?"
Linggis chuckled, then turned to face them. "Listen, I'm not a god, and I'm not a fortune teller either. The data I have doesn't show the exact location of an SSS-rank dungeon. And frankly, that's no longer my job." He pointed at the monitor screen. "I've already given you everything you need to know. If you want more details, just ask your analysis team. Isn't that their job?"
Elyssia crossed her arms, frowning. "But our analysis team isn't as fast or as accurate as you, Linggis. They need guidance from someone who truly understands these patterns."
"No way my data is that hard to figure out with that many people working on it."
Linggis let out a long sigh, then pointed at the data displayed on the monitor. "Listen carefully. According to my data, there are 15 active SS-rank dungeons that haven't appeared yet. One of them just went active—the one in the news—and I'm certain it could be the start of something big. So, if you want to know about the SSS-rank dungeon I've been keeping secret, your first step is to investigate all of these dungeons one by one."
Sola stepped closer, staring at the data on the screen. "So you think one of these 15 dungeons holds the key to finding the SSS-rank dungeon?"
Linggis nodded slightly. "Exactly. If you're smart enough, you'll find a pattern or something unusual among them. But that's no longer my problem. My job is done—I already gave you the USB. What more do you want? The rest is up to you."
Elyssia let out a deep sigh, trying to contain her frustration. "So you're saying we have to investigate each of these dungeons without a more specific clue? That will take time and cost lives, Linggis."
Linggis gave her a blank stare. "Welcome to the real world. Nothing comes easy, Elyssia. If you want results, you have to put in the effort. And one more thing..." He locked eyes with them. "Stop making my life difficult. I've already helped this world more than I ever intended to. Now it's your turn to do your part."
Sola clenched his fists, clearly dissatisfied with the answer, but Elyssia placed a hand on his arm, urging him to stay calm. "Fine, Linggis," Elyssia finally conceded. "We'll investigate as you suggested. But if we need your help again, don't expect us to knock next time."
Linggis smirked. "In that case, make sure you bring ramen or coffee as an apology for the door."
Elyssia rolled her eyes before turning to leave, Sola following behind her. As the heavy metal door shut behind them, Linggis turned back to his monitor, picked up his chopsticks, and resumed eating his ramen.
"These people," he muttered under his breath, "always making things difficult."
