Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 : ..

The battle on the vast plains grew increasingly intense. Linggis emitted an aura, the cane in his right hand appearing simple. His gaze turned wild, a mix of hatred toward the world and pure madness. His lips curled into a cynical smile, as if all of this was just a boring game to him.

"Is this all you've got? With all your justice and 'holy blessings' you're so proud of?" Linggis mocked, taking slow, deliberate steps forward.

The woman, wielding a glowing sword, stood firm. Her eyes were filled with determination, and each of her strikes carried unrelenting intensity. "I will never lose to someone like you! I am the bearer of light, and you are nothing but a shadow!" she shouted, charging at lightning speed.

The holy sword shimmered, radiating a sacred aura that shook the battlefield. Each slash left a trail of light in the air, trying to cut through the shadows surrounding Linggis. But Linggis, with lightning-fast speed and reflexes, parried them all with ease.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

The loud clashes echoed, growing faster and harder to follow with the naked eye. The woman attacked relentlessly, but Linggis remained unstoppable, like an impenetrable wall.

"Holy? Justice?" Linggis muttered softly, his crazed smile widening. "Do you know what happens to people like that? They're nothing but the playthings of this world… and now, you're in my hands."

Linggis slammed his stick against the ground once more, this time creating a vortex of shadows that engulfed the battlefield. The woman's light began to dim amidst the oppressive darkness. But she didn't waver. Instead, she shouted loudly, raising her sword high.

"In the name of the holy light, I will end your darkness!" In an instant, an explosion of sacred light spread in all directions, destroying most of Linggis shadows.

But within the radiance, Linggis emerged unscathed, chuckling softly. "Beautiful. But it's useless against the void," he said coldly. With a swift movement, he appeared right in front of the woman, his stick raised high.

The battle seemed like two opposing forces: light against shadow, justice against chaos. Though the woman fought with blazing spirit, Linggis showed no signs of retreat.

"This ends now," Linggis muttered in a deep voice, his cane glowing dark as it prepared to strike with full force.

But the woman met his gaze fearlessly. "As long as I stand, the light will never fade."

They struck at the same time, light and shadow colliding with immense power, creating an explosion of energy that shook the entire barren plain. Dust and fragments of earth flew into the air.
