Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 : Frustration.

The sound of battle echoed endlessly across the barren wasteland. Linggis moved swiftly, the cane in his hands spinning rapidly to deflect every incoming strike. A woman wielding a holy sword, a man clad in armor with a massive blade, and the High Priest Saint relentlessly launched their attacks, trying to corner him. Yet, like a slippery shadow, Linggis always managed to evade, frustrating his enemies to no end.

"Don't let him escape again! Rin, go left! Seo, close the gap from the right!" shouted the armored man, swinging his massive sword.

Linggis chuckled softly, leaping back to dodge the man's heavy .slash. "Han? Seo? Oh, so you're calling each other by name now? How sweet," he said mockingly.

"Shut up!" yelled the woman named Seo, unleashing a flurry of quick slashes at Linggis. Each swing of her sword shimmered with holy light, but Linggis parried them effortlessly with his staff.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

"What's the rush, Seo? Are you in such a hurry to save the world from me? So noble," Linggis said in a casual tone, his eyes glinting with a mix of madness and mischief.

"Stop talking and just die already!" Seo snapped, her strikes growing more aggressive.

Meanwhile, the armored man began to lose his patience. After minutes of fruitless fighting, he let out a heavy sigh and stomped the ground. "Tch! Is it really this hard to fight a cripple?" he shouted in frustration.

Linggis abruptly stopped moving. His gaze turned sharp, his smile vanished, replaced by a cold, piercing expression. He stood tall, tapping his staff on the ground once.

"A cripple, huh?" he said in a low, threatening voice. "So that's how you comfort yourself when you can't win?"

Seo turned her head in anger. "Junn! Don't listen to him! Don't let him provoke you!"

But Linggis had already seized the opportunity, exploiting Junn's easily provoked nature. "Ah, I see now. You feel humiliated because you can't defeat someone like me, huh? Someone you think is... beneath you."

Linggis let out a low, mocking laugh, his voice dripping with scorn. "Let me tell you something. This cane may be in my hands, but look at yourselves. Three of you, with holy power, a giant sword, and radiant magic, yet you're struggling against a 'cripple.'"

Han, the armored man, gritted his teeth. "Shut up! You're just lucky!" He charged forward with a frontal attack, but Linggis easily sidestepped, causing Han to stumble slightly.

"I'm lucky? Or are you just... not strong enough?" Linggis added with a sharp tone, his words slicing into their minds like a blade.

Rin, who had been silently observing, finally raised her holy staff, forming a large magic circle in the air. "Focus! Don't let his words affect you!" she said firmly, unleashing a beam of light at Linggis.

But Linggis merely chuckled again, leaping out of range. "Holy light? Do you think that's enough to pierce through darkness?"

Meanwhile, Seo attacked again with her sword, attempting to synchronize her strikes with Han's. They called out to each other constantly, coordinating their moves.

"Han, to the left! I'll pressure him from the right!" Seo shouted.

However, Linggis used every attack to create his own openings, countering them with his cane and forcing them to miss, leaving them increasingly frustrated.

"I don't need allies to win. But you? Look at yourselves, relying on each other just to try and bring me down," Linggis taunted. "How pathetic."

Han finally exploded in anger. "Enough! You think you're better than me just because you can dodge our attacks?!"

Linggis stared at him with a cold smile. "No. I don't think I'm better. I know I'm better."

With one swift motion, Linggis struck the ground with his cane, creating a shockwave that forced his enemies to leap back. He stood in the center of a small crater he had created, his gaze like that of a predator ready to devour its prey whole.

"So, let's continue. All of you against this 'cripple.' I wonder, who will fall first?"
