Linggis slowly rose from behind the rubble, his body covered in dust and blood, but his eyes still gleamed with arrogance. The massive stone that had struck him was now shattered into pieces, and the dark aura surrounding him grew even thicker. A silver-haired woman stood cautiously, the blue light in her hands glowing ever brighter.
"You're strong enough to injure me this much," Linggis said, his voice low but full of mockery. "But you think you can stop me with just that? How naive."
The woman narrowed her eyes, holding her position. "And you're foolish enough to think I'll let you continue to toy around here."
Linggis let out a small, cold laugh. "You interfere, even though I was handling my business with them. So I'm curious... do you really believe you're my match? Or are you just lucky that I don't care enough?"
He stepped forward, black and purple aura wrapping around his body. "Tell me, Elyssia. Am I now worthy of being considered a national threat? Or should I show more before the world realizes who's standing before them?"
Elyssia remained unfazed by his provocation. "A national threat? You might be close, but it doesn't matter. I'm here to make sure you don't go any further."
Linggis smirked, raising his right hand. In his palm, a small stone glowing with an electric aura appeared. He looked at Seo, who was still standing shakily in the distance, blood dripping from the corner of his mouth.
"You know," Linggis said lightly, "the most entertaining part of this fight is watching how little pawns like him struggle so hard to survive."
With a swift motion, he threw the small stone toward Seo. It shot through the air like a bullet, leaving a trail of lightning behind.
"Watch out!" Rin shouted, but the silver-haired woman had already moved.
She leaped forward, creating a blue mana barrier in front of Seo. "Boom!" The small stone collided with the shield, triggering a massive electric explosion that shook the ground around them. Sparks of energy spread in all directions, throwing Seo several meters back, though he wasn't hit directly.
"Consider that a small warning," Linggis said, a faint smile on his face. "If you don't want me to get serious, you'd better stop standing there like dead weight."
The woman returned to her position, staring at Linggis with cold eyes. "Serious or not, you'll fall here."
But Linggis only grinned. "Then show me what you can do, Elyssia. I want to see how far a 'world-class Hunter' like you can withstand the destruction I bring."
Linggis's dark aura grew larger, lightning crackling around his body. The battlefield felt heavier, as if the world itself began to bow under his power. The fight had only just begun.
