Chereads / Lost In The Game of Death / Chapter 3 - A NEW POWER

Chapter 3 - A NEW POWER

Everton ran with Kyle on his back, Kyle was his only brother and friend, as an introvert he had no one to talk to, he played games all through the day after school.

It was his dream to always protect his brother.

The dolls ran forward the fire gun in there hand.

Kyles eyes opened slowly.

As the fire swam towards his direction, Kyle snapped his fingers, as his fingers snapped the fire went in, making him warm within him, his strength returning.

He jumped down from Evertons shoulders.

"Go, I will hold them!."

Kyle burnt down everything in his path, chasing away king Herald and his dolls.

"What have you done?." The guard screamed.

"You have burnt down our home."

"What are you talking about?." The queens sister asked.

"They saved us from the king."

"The only reason the king spotted us was because of him." The guard pointed at Kyle. Kyles blue eyes sank. His hands ran through his wet curly hair.

"If no one here would support my brothers actions then I would, yes he made a mistake, but he still defended you."

The air was filled with silence.

"I think it's time we find our way home, they don't need us here."

The queens sister Esmeralda ran after them. "Wait im coming with!."

The three of them roamed the forest of Nowheres land, unguarded with no where to go. The queen fixed up the mess caused by the fire with her hands.

"This is unfair your highness." The guards said," you are just going to let your sister go?."

"That's not the sad part." The queen responded. "The sad part is that I am related to the king. King Herald is my brother who is bound by the curse of this game, he was chosen to be the villain and has lost all sense of himself."

The guard was extremely furious, he hated emotions, and emotional people.

"We know all that your majesty, the question is how do we attack, how do we purchase our freedom and go home?."

The queen answered with silence. She had nothing to say, and no energy to utter it.

"Maybe it's time we all admit that the queen is not fit to lead us, because she is weak, I propose a treason!."

The glass shattered from the queens hands.

She knew this day would come, she knew was not fit to be queen, she could not kill her brother.

Even if that was the only way home, she would rather be stuck here.

Kyle was weak, his mind filled with thoughts of disappointment his emotions bruised by the words of those ungrateful people.

"Don't worry about them." Esmeralda assured.

"We have bigger problems, we need to find a place to sleep before midnight else, everything will come to life at once.

And then the real trouble begins."

Evertons palm glowed, it was a clock on count down mode.

"Guys I think this is how much time we have left to find the portal."

Esmaralda led them to a hide out, she kept them hidden until midnight. There eyes opened as soon as the clock struck twelve.

"Remember as soon as the clock blinks we stare deeply into his eyes, think of only King Herald, nothing else." She warned staring at them.

They held there hands, there eyes and minds connected. And they were pulled into the clock.

"What are you doing here, I thought you were with the boys?." The queen asked Esmaralda. She was worried about her.

She thought about how they both ended up stuck in the game as avatars, it was all Esmaralda fault, she had created the game.

"No, the boys I was worried about you and now the boys are probably in King Heralds palace.

"Wait hold on!." The guard interrupted.

"So you are saying, there is a clock here in this forest that can take us out of here?." The guard asked laughing sarcastically.

"You need to take us there so we can head home!." The guard said excitedly.

The queen nodded.

"He's right you need to tell us where you saw this clock."

Esmaralda itched her hair and looked to the sky.

"I can't remember." She responded.

"Dang it!." The guard scream. "Fuck!, what great news is this."

The guard itched he was furious, he needed to calm down he jumped into the ocean and sighed.

"Exactly what I need." He soloquised.

In kings Heralds palace Kyle and Everton hid behind a couch.

"In every war, the best weapon is the element of surprise." Everton smiled at his brother's words.

"Boo!." A voice echoed from behind. Kyles heart skipped a beat.

"To what do I owe this royal visit?." King Herald said with sarcasm washing over his tone.

Everton eyes glowed with blue light sparkling like lightning. "We have a message for the king."

King Herald narrowed his brow.

"Fuck my ass, your highness." Everton moved with the lightening beneath his feet and the sparkles in his eyes.

"Woah that's exactly what I wanted to say." Kyle said excitedly.

"Freeze!." King Herald ordered.

As the order left his mouth both Kyle and Everton were caught by gravity. There bodies moving as snails.

"You're in my castle boys, you play by my rules. Once that clock on your palm counts down to zero,

You all get a red mark on your forehead, and trust me I won't tell you what that stands for."

King Herald turned the other way, and they saw four red marks on his neck. Everton stared at the clock on his palm it was counting down quickly.

"What...do...we...do?." Kyle asked slowly.

"Close your eyes and think of the clock." Kyle and Everton shut there eyes. As they visualized the clock in there minds.

Few minutes later...

"We did it we escaped." Kyle jumped.

"Yeah I think this clock is not just a clock." Everton said stroking his chin. He stared at the clock thinking.

Formulas flashing before his eyes. Then he got it.
