In the secret garden the queen was all alone the only comfort she had was her sister Esmeralda.
Sitting in the garden, the queen wept, although she was truly human she had grown attached to these creatures.
She wanted to spend the rest of her life taking care of them. She stood and decided.
"I am going!." Esmaralda smiled weakly. "I know you love them, but if king Herald sees you he will capture you."
"I don't care, I will go and bring my people back." Esmaraldas voice held her still in her tracks.
"They rejected you, you need to let them go."
The queen shrugged her shoulders and moved forward making her way to king Heralds palace.
In Evertons mother's home, his mom observed that her kids were gone.
"Boys?!!!." Her steps echoed through the walls.
She ran to the thrash can and noticed the smoke coming from the battered game. "Oh no, they went in!."
Everton tried to warn the guard about his actions, but the guard rejected his warnings with pride.
"Listen sir, this man seems naive but he's very powerful, I am sure he has a plan." Everton tried to reason with the guard.
"Why do you care about me?, in Nowheres land it's Everyman for himself."
That night Everton could not sleep, he roamed around in his room. "Dude I can feel your worry from my sleep, just chill men." Kyle said.
The rustling bushes behind the window stirred up Evertons senses. "Whose there?." Kyle lit up his palm with his flames. A lady fell in the room unable to stand on both feet.
"Esmaralda!." They both exclaimed and hugged her. Esmeralda told the boys how she had frozen the queen and left her in the secret garden.
She would not let the queen risk her life by coming here.
"Wait that's a good thing right?." Kyle asked. The others nodded. "I mean what are the possibilities of someone roaming round the forest and seeing a frozen statue, stealing it and ..... I should probably stop talking now."
Esmaralda and Everton tried to escape and check on the queen when king Herald came in. "In a hurry so soon?." He asked sarcastically.
Heralds dark hair dancing to the tone of the wind. His cape swept the every dust it touched on the crystal tiles.
"The game is about to begin my dear, you are the vips." He said with a smirk, his guards sealed every corner of the room, making sure there was no way to escape.
Everton stared at Esmaralda. "Cover for me." Esmeralda shook her head.
"Don't do anything rash pal, we are in the kings palace, we are clearly outnumbered.
If we move an inch out of place we will lose our heads."
Everton sat on the bare floor, he stroked his chin and smiled his brain lightening up.
"Well let me tell you a story." He said winking at Everton and Esmeralda.
"That sly King Herald, is a lunatic, he has hidden gold in his pants."
Esmaralda rolled her eyes, who would be stupid enough to fall for that.
"That gold will break the curse and make everyone human again.
Yet again, no one is brave enough to confront him.
They're all chickens."
The dolls stared at one another there dark creepy eyes blinking. They turned and matched towards Heralds room.
"What are you doing, let go of my pants!" Everton could hear Heralds scream. They all laughed.
The guard finally listened to Evertons words but it was too late he had already given his consent to this war.
He went into Evertons rule. "You're the smart one so what's the plan?."
They widened there eyes in shock, was the great most feared warrior asking for help.
"Why are you all staring at me?, I'm asking a question, those dolls won't hold him for long."
"You have to not lose no matter what, if you lose we will be his slaves and we'll be stuck here forever.
The plan- while you fight, we will sneak in and try to find this portal thing."
The guard nodded. Not dying is what he does best. He ran back to his room and shut his eyes.
His heart pounding.
Herald dismantled the dolls, they were destroyed.
"That went on long enough."
He rang the bell, and a shadow swept through the forest and into the palace.
Everyone was to assemble in the hall for the announcement.
"It's good you're all here on time. You and I will be fighting through dance." The king said with a smile.
The guard stared with surprise.
"Oh I'm sorry did I speak gibberish to you?." The king said. The guard gulped hard, he had never danced before what sort of humiliation was this?.
"Would you want to surrender now and die alone or loose and sacrifice the lives of your people." King Herald smiled his teeth glittering with excitement.
The guard remembered the plan. He needed to help Everton. He agreed to the dance battle. "Very well then!, and remember no rules." King Herald said triumphantly.
The music played, but this was no ordinary music it was the anthem of fear, the guards eyes turned white.
He was slowly losing his mind.
King Herald smiled. Everton understood, this was his plan. He jumped on stage to support the guard, using his lightening to cover his ears.
"That's cheating!." King Herald growled.
"No rules remember." Everton continued, the guard slowly regaining his retina.
The music was begining to affect Everton, Kyle needed to do something. He burnt the one playing the music, the silence crawled on everyone's skin.
Heralds eyes burned visibly.
"How dare you?." He roared.
Kyle sneered. "You think you are a tough guy, but you're nothing without those claws. Just an empty harmless loser.
Kyles word pierced deeply into Heralds heart. Esmaralda was lost king Heralds room, she was searching for the portal. Everything was so white.
"Which one could it be?."
Just touching the wrong one could ruin everything..
