The morning sun peeked through the dense canopy of trees, spilling golden light onto the forest floor. Dew clung to the grass, glistening like tiny crystals as a cool breeze rustled the leaves. Birds flitted between branches, chirping their morning songs, their melodies weaving into the gentle hum of the waking forest.
It was peaceful. Serene. Almost picturesque.
And then there was Lidia.
Sprawled out on the ground like a dead starfish.
One arm thrown over her head, the other resting limply on her stomach. Her legs splayed at odd angles, one bent awkwardly at the knee. She slept deeply, her chest rising and falling in slow, even breaths, a small trail of drool glistening at the corner of her mouth.
It was… an undignified sight.
The knight stood nearby, staring down at her with an expression of sheer disapproval.
