As soon as the three creatures appeared, a translucent blue screen appeared in Sete's mind:

— I hope you're managing to concentrate! — Spring shouted at Thomas as the three tall, twisted things advanced, attacking at the same time.
— I'm trying! — The dark-skinned, curly-haired boy replied, his eyes closed and his lips pursed.
— Try harder! — Kai shouted when he realized that the humanoids were managing to put pressure on Sete, so that the young woman could no longer find any gaps to attack and could only defend herself against the heavy blows.
The fight unfolded very quickly, even if for Thomas it had been going on forever.
Spring tried her best to push the servants of the End away from the boys, delivered quick blows and even summoned some roots to trap those creatures and slow down their movements, which didn't last long due to the low reserve of powers she had at the moment.
At some point, the shadows managed to knock Sete down, and were already closing in to hurt her. Kai tried desperately to draw attention away and Thomas remained silent, too focused to move a muscle.
Then, suddenly, everything stopped.
— Hurry, I can't hold out much longer! — Thomas was already starting to look pale. He was able to stop time.
Sete smiled proudly, stood up in a leap and moved quickly to drive the tip of the root spear into each of the three paralyzed creatures. Time went back to normal and the servants of the End disappeared like smoke into thin air.
— We did it! — Kai exclaimed and rushed to support Thomas, who had practically collapsed from exhaustion. He looked worriedly at Sete, who also looked pale and tired. — What do we do now?
— Let's find somewhere nearby to spend the night, we can't continue the journey exhausted like this. — She replied satisfied, one more mission had been accomplished and a small fraction of her powers and divinity had been recovered.

Helping Kai support his older brother, the girl guided them to a quiet clearing, where they spread their sleeping bags on the ground and could rest until the next day. Of course, camping materials like these were acquired through Sete's magic backpack, as Kai called the item after noticing that it simply appeared out of nowhere.
