Chapter 15 - Blueprint Technology

***

The next day.

RustyAxe Town Hall.

Caleb opened his eyes, sunlight streamed in through the window of his room. He sat on the edge of the bed while pressing the Town Hall building.

He wanted to confirm the time left until the town hall construction was completely finished.

[Town Hall upgrade approved]

[Level 2 -> level 3]

[Duration of renovation: ]

[00:05:15:32]

'Five more hours. Looks like the town hall construction will be finished at noon,' Caleb said.

He looked outside of the town hall, watching as five heavy scout units were still on standby. Caleb saw a mysterious smoke from the south that surprised the man.

"What is that smoke?" asked Caleb.

Worried, Caleb opened the friend chat page and sent a message to Liliana_P, hoping she would answer him.

[Friend Chat!]

[Caleb] [Hey, Liliana. Is your town hall okay? I saw a faint black smoke from the south. Did it come from your town?]

[Caleb] [Let me know as soon as you're online]

In the friend chat page, Caleb clearly saw Liliana's status was still offline. There are specific reasons a person may be declared offline: either they die or are sleeping/fainting.

However, there were other ways to ensure a player was alive. Menu diplomacy always shows a list of players who are still alive, along with the name of their kingdom.

While waiting, Caleb opened the diplomacy menu page and carefully looked at the list of players inside.

Caleb can breathe a sigh of relief. He saw Liliana_P's name clearly displayed on the diplomacy menu. That was clear evidence that the woman was still alive.

'She's probably asleep. Thankfully, the smoke didn't come from her,' Caleb replied.

The number of players on the diplomacy menu list was 7 people from the previous eight. Only the player named Lone_Wolf with the town name Thunder_Sky had disappeared from the list.

Opening his game map panel, Caleb watched as the enemy dot in the south close to CL_Ellise disappeared without a trace.

It was obvious that the black smoke was coming from Thunder_Sky's Town Hall.

"Did CL_Ellise do it? It's possible that he did it, considering Liliana_P wouldn't be able to do that."

"But how powerful can he destroy another player's town hall? Did he also explore the treasure cave?" Caleb asked.

A thousand questions arose in Caleb's mind about the cause of the destruction of player Lone_Wolf. His temporary guess pointed to CL_Ellise, because previously, the player almost wanted to destroy RedLotus505's Town Hall.

"I have to send one of the 6 heavy scout units I placed in the south to see CL_Ellise's army unit," Caleb explained.

[UNIT INFO]

[Unit Name: Heavy Scout]

[Train: Cavalry]

[Idle Stance]

He selected the unit and pulled it to an area close to CL_Ellise's town hall. Caleb could easily see the situation in the town _Apo_King with the unit's range.

One unit rode south, leaving the group behind. The distance from the starting location to the town hall was about an hour and a half, with the speed of the cavalry unit as well.

[Friend Chat!]

[Liliana_P] [Sorry, I just woke up]

[Liliana_P] [My Town Hall is fine. I did see that black smoke, but it came from another player's town hall]

[Caleb] [Did you do it?]

[Liliana_P] [Of course not. I don't have enough troop units to destroy that player's town]

[Caleb] [Forget it. You should focus on your city. Just to remind you, the Alliances Center can be built only when your TH reaches level 4. Do you understand what I mean?]

[Liliana_P] [I understand. I'll work harder now!]

Caleb pressed the technology menu, and a technology list panel appeared before Caleb, containing the percentage of technology that had been researched from the four types of tech.

[TECHNOLOGY INFO]

[Economic: 1.2%]

[Military: 0.5%]

[Defense: 0.0%]

[Others: 0.0%]

From the Technology Info panel, the man pressed the Military section. By doing so, the previously researched technology will appear in the next panel.

[Military Technology Info]

[1. Eye Vision] [Town Hall Lv. 2]

[Leather Equipment] [Infantry Camp Lv. 1]

There were more interesting features, something very favorable for an alliance and such. Caleb pressed the Leather Equipment technology, the first technology that appeared and successfully improved the quality of the militia.

[Leather Equipment]

[Increases Defense by +10% during combat || Increases unit march speed by +5]

[Research: Infantry Camp]

[Level: 1]

[Delete] [Export blueprint]

From the menu on the panel, there is a menu to delete the technology and export the technology into blueprints.

If the technology was deleted, the buffs and quality improvements on the troop units would be lost. Blueprint export was useful for sharing technology with alliance friends.

If an alliance partner has a blueprint of a specific technology, the research duration will be reduced by 50%.

"She will be happy if I give her the blueprint of this technology," added Caleb.

He pressed the blueprint export menu, and the system was working on exporting the technology into a file that could be opened by other players.

[Export complete]

[Technology_Leather Equipment.bprnt]

Caleb got rid of the export panel, the blueprint file would be automatically saved in his storage. Now, he only needs to open the friend chat page to send the file to Liliana.

[Attach File:]

[Technology_Leather Equipment.bprnt]

[Recipient: Liliana_P]

[Send file?]

[Yes] [No]

The man pressed confirm, and the process of sending the blueprint of the Leather Equipment technology went successfully.

Liliana_P was very shocked when she saw Caleb sending something to her, a blueprint.

Newbies might be confused about how to apply the blueprint, but it was different with Liliana. She knew exactly how to use the blueprint for the technology in her Infantry Camp.

[Friend Chat!]

[Liliana_P] [What are you doing? You sent your tech blueprint. Are you sure?]

[Caleb] [Of course. You will be greatly helped by technology research. You can upgrade your militia units fast.]

[Liliana_P] [Woah! Thank you so much. You turned out to be a very kind person. How should I thank you?]

[Caleb] [By leveling up your town hall quickly. Try to reach level 4 to set up an Alliance Center.]

[Liliana_P] [Okay! I'll do my best to increase my town hall's level]

Caleb nodded. He stepped out of his town hall to get some refreshing air. Actually, the players did not feel sleepy or hungry while in this game.

They fall asleep after AFK for 1 hour; the system will automatically make them sleep for 8-9 hours.

Players sleep to spend the duration of construction or technology research. However, sleeping too much will cause the town hall to not be maintained during the sleep period.

For eating, they only do it as a formality. It was to behave like an average living being.

Just when it was noon, an information panel appeared before Caleb, indicating that the town hall construction had been completed.

[Construction Successful]

[Building: Town Hall]

[Town Hall Level: 3]

[Durability: 800/800]

[Attack: 10+(full capacity of Town Hall settlers)]

[Defense: 15+(full capacity of Town Hall settlers)]

[Range: 13m]

[Accuracy: 60%]

[Capacity: 15 people]

[Kingdom Power: 5700] [+1000]

[Upgrade to next level: 1200 wood || 1200 food || 800 gold || 800 stone]

[Upgrade Town Hall?]

[Yes] [No]

Caleb nodded. His town hall had officially upgraded to level 3, meaning new buildings were unlocked and ready to be built.

"Alright. It's time for me to build the Cavalry Camp."
