Chapter 16 - Town Hall Lv. 3

In terms of architecture, increasing the town hall level did not provide any significant changes. However, Caleb noticed that some of the statuses on the town hall panel, such as ATK and DEF, increased.

Not only that, the attack mechanism range also increased from 10 to 13m. The capacity of RustyAxe's town hall increased from 12 to 15 people.

That way, the increase in attack and defense will be multiplied according to the amount of building capacity and buffs from certain commanders.

The town hall upgrade also has the effect of increasing kingdom power. For an increase in town hall level from level 1 to level 5, the kingdom power points that will be obtained will be around 1000 points.

For levels 6-10, the possibility of adding kingdom power points becomes more than 1000 points, of course, with a longer construction duration, which can be more than one day.

[DING! Congratulations, your Town Hall has leveled up]

[TH Lv.2 -> TH Lv.3]

[Building unlocked:]

[1. Blacksmith]

[2. Cavalry Camp]

[3. Archery Camp]

[4. Farm]

[Technology Unlocked:]

[1. Early Irrigation || Mill]

[2. First Swordsman || Infantry Camp]

[3. Production Wheelbarrow || Town Hall]

[4. First Bowman || Archery Camp]

[5. Long Range Vision || Town Hall]

Before Caleb, the panel explained in detail some of the buildings that were ready to be built and the technology that was ready to be researched.

Still, it was only a brief overview, and Caleb had no idea the cost of each building and technology.

'This is much better. At least, this will strengthen my city,' Caleb explained.

He swiped the panel and stepped closer to the idle villagers. To support a large number of troops, it must be balanced with adequate housing capacity.

Caleb could have used the idle villagers, but it would have been better if houses had also been produced so there would be no stagnation when the population increased.

The man ordered two idle villagers to start working as builders. In total, Caleb needed about 10 new houses in his town house complex.

That way, he would get an additional 50 villagers when the entire batch of villager's production was completed.

[Construction begins]

[Building: House]

[Building Type: Economic Building]

[Quantity: 10]

[Cost: 500 wood || 250 food || 250 stone]

[Construction duration: ]

[00:01:39:59]

Construction began with a duration of one and a half hours to build at least 10 new houses. He again ordered another builder, who he picked up from the idle villagers, to build a cavalry camp and an archery camp.

With those two buildings, Caleb would have at least three Military Buildings capable of producing troops.

[Construction begins]

[Building: Cavalry Camp]

[Building Type: Military Building]

[Cost: 100 wood || 200 food || 150 gold || 50 stone]

[Construction duration: ]

[00:04:59:59]

[Construction begins]

[Building: Archery Camp]

[Building Type: Military Building]

[Cost: 150 wood || 150 food || 100 gold || 50 stone]

[Construction duration: ]

The two buildings, in total, took about 5 hours of construction to complete. That amount of time was more than enough to finish building 10 houses and start producing batch 1 villagers.

Caleb nodded. At least he had gained some initial ground to begin ruling this continent.

Currently, it was likely that the players were still at TH level 2, one of which was Liliana. The woman was still busy creating a militia to withstand any attacks directed at her.

As time goes by, the number of players decreases. Currently, only 7 players remain on this continent.

Each player has started to show their aggressive stance, because the initial purpose of this survival game was to rule and control the land of other players.

[WARNING!]

[Full population limit capacity!]

[Build a house immediately]

'Hmm... I expected, the population will increase as time goes by. However, the population limit has reached its maximum stage,' Caleb explained.

'I have to employ them in different sections. These idle villagers are too many," Caleb explained.

Three of the four economic buildings —Mill, Lumber, Gold Mine— had already reached sufficient capacity. Only the stone mine still employed 5 workers.

Caleb selected five of the idle villagers for the stone mine. They would start working and adjust daily production like the other workers before.

The man only hoped that when the house was constructed, he could allocate the villagers who had not received a house immediately.

Only had to wait for an hour and a half, while the villagers' production was only one villager per 2 hours. That was more than enough.

Caleb looked to the south, curious about the conditions at Liliana's place. He sent a heavy scout unit to go there to see the woman's condition.

A unit of heavy scouts with idle stances rode from east to west, trying to see Liliana's town hall to confirm the situation there.

After 20 minutes of riding, Caleb finally got an image of the situation in that place. Liliana seemed to have heard the advice from Caleb yesterday.

She immediately built an Infantry Camp and started producing militia.

Currently, there were a total of 15 militia units gathered in front of RedLotus505's town hall. Liliana's figure stood before them as if she was organizing their stance.

'That's good. That's much better. At least the town's defenses will be protected for a while until the Alliance Center is formed,' Caleb said.

A red dot appeared on the right side of Caleb's player dashboard. The man responded while squinting, curious about who had informed him through the friend chat page.

'Could it be Liliana who notified me?' Caleb asked.

He opened the friend chat page and saw clearly that the player who contacted him was John, the D_Destroyer. The message from him surprised Caleb.

[Friend Chat!]

[D_Destroyer] [Hey, Caleb. Do you want to do me a favor? There's an annoying player who keeps attacking me from the north. I plan to teach him a lesson. However, I'm a little doubtful of my troops' abilities]

[D_Destroyer] [I promise, I will capture him and hand him over to you. All the resources he has can be owned by you]

Caleb was silent for a moment, not knowing what he should do. Not only did he not really trust D_Destroyer since he was just friends, but the location of the Town Hall Player he was referring to was far north, which was very risky.

However, refusing his request would have a bad impact on their relationship. It was a dilemma, but Caleb had no choice.

[Caleb] [That location is far away from me. Try to survive every attack. Quickly level up your town hall so that you can build an Alliance Center]

[Caleb] [That way, I can send reinforcements under the alliance flag. No suspicions will arise]

[D_Destroyer] [Is the Alliance Center open at town hall level 3?]

[Caleb] [No. You have to upgrade it to level 4]

[D_Destroyer] [That's a long time. But I understand. Thank you]

John no longer informed Caleb. He seemed to know how to handle this. The two of them were still friends and not bound by the alliance rules. John could have outsmarted this problem and turned around to kill Caleb.

Caleb didn't want to be betrayed again, so he thought realistically about this.

'He doesn't seem to have reached level 3 of the town hall. It seems like I'm the only one who has leveled up.'

'That's fine. This proves that I'm still the strongest in this place, for now.'
