Alice wasn't interested in their affairs. She just wanted them to stop hurting her and the people she cared about. She lowered her head and stuffed her phone under the passenger seat where Ethan was sitting. Should she contact her mother? Would they wait for her there? She looked up and saw the bodyguards in the distance, and she didn't dare move. She wished she had just stayed in the corner to calculate. But she had told her mother that if she didn't show up in three hours, they didn't have to wait and could go back. How could Alice have known that she would fail in Ethan's hands? It was heartbreaking to think about it. His concern for her, rushing to the Imperial Garden to save her, and crashing into a wall to stop Adam from hurting her... was it all just for fun? It was unbelievable! She thought that the Davis Family only had Adam, a paranoid and violent psychopath, but she didn't expect Ethan to be a psychologically distorted person as well. How unlucky was she to encounter two of them at once... She didn't know how long she had been standing there, but drops of water began to fall on her nose. Then two, three, four drops, more and more... Alice tilted her head slightly and looked at the dark night sky. Reflected by the streetlights, she saw the raindrops falling. They hit her face, hair, and body... Soon she was completely soaked... In front of the floor-to-ceiling window, there stood a tall and deep black shadow.Adam held onto his glass, his deep and inscrutable gaze fixed on the slender figure outside under the streetlamp, drenched and disheveled in the rain.
Yolanda approached him with her own glass, shyly asking, "Look, it's really raining now. Even the heavens seem to be against her. Are you feeling better now, Mu Ge?"
Adam downed his drink and focused on his prey in the rain. "You can go now."
"What? Mu Ge..." Yolanda didn't want to leave. She wanted more to happen between them. She had dressed provocatively when she came, but he didn't even look at her. What was there to see in Alice, who looked like a ghost in the rain?
"Do I have to say it again?" Adam's voice turned icy, sending shivers down Yolanda's spine. The entire Imperial Garden seemed to have turned gloomy. Yolanda's scanty clothing did nothing to keep her warm.
"Then...I'll come back next time..." Yolanda said before quickly running away.
She got into her car and started the engine.
Yolanda glared at the figure in the rain, stepping on the gas and driving past Alice without slowing down. There was a loud splash.
Alice was startled and stumbled back as the water splashed onto her. She wiped the rain off her face and continued to stand there expressionless. Drenched and with her clothes clinging to her body, her perfect figure was outlined in the rain, revealing her alluring beauty despite her bedraggled appearance.
The bodyguard walked towards her. "Miss Baker, Mr. Davis wants to see you."
Alice was too scared to move. She would rather stand here in the rain than go near that devil.
"Don't keep Mr. Davis waiting," the bodyguard said.
Alice knew she couldn't run away anymore, so she trembled as she walked towards the room.
With each step, she left a puddle of water on the clean and elegant floor tiles.
When she touched the black figure on the sofa, Alice's body became even colder.
"Come here," Adam said, still holding his glass of alcohol, swaying lazily. But his eyes staring at Alice were as fierce as a wild beast.
Alice took a few steps forward. "Can I go now? Are you...calm now...ah!"
Before she could finish her sentence, she was pulled over and thrown onto the sofa!
The glass of alcohol spilled onto the sofa, and the bright red wine stained the light-colored carpet, like a shocking pool of blood!
Alice's head was dizzy from the impact, and she saw stars. The figure above her forced her to stay alert. "What...what are you going to do?"
"I told you not to run away. You never seem to listen to me. Three strikes and you're out. This is what you deserve..." Adam's hand grabbed her collar and pulled it down violently.
With a tearing sound, the fabric turned into shreds.
"Ah!" Alice screamed. "Don't..."
Adam still held the torn piece of cloth in his hand, as if he had torn off a piece of flesh instead of a piece of clothing. "Tonight, you will have the same fate as this cloth."
Alice trembled in fear, shaking her head as tears streamed down her face. "Let me... let me go take a shower..."
"Why bother?" Adam attacked.
"No! Please, I'm... I'm a virgin, I'm scared..." Alice knew this day would come eventually, but she was still terrified.
Terrified of being torn apart by him!
Adam's face darkened dangerously, his lips curling into a sneer. "A virgin? Then explain the night two years ago."
Alice's mind went blank, almost completely empty as she stared at Adam. "You... you know..."
So he had known all along that the woman from that night was her!
Adam grabbed her chin, squeezing it tightly as his black eyes turned into icy pools. "Explain!"
"I... I had... surgery..." Alice forced the words out, glancing at Adam's terrifying expression. "If you had told me earlier, I wouldn't have had to go through all that trouble!"
Adam glared at her with a menacing aura, like a ferocious beast that had escaped from hell. "You brought this upon yourself!"
The hall was so spacious and quiet that every sound was amplified infinitely.
Alice's cries were crisp and pitiful, like a deer caught by predators in the forest, being tortured and flayed alive.
And there was no one to save her…With a thud, Alice, who was completely limp, was thrown into the bathtub. The warm water did not make her feel comfortable, but instead caused her body to tremble due to the stimulation of her wounds. She clung tightly to the edge of the bathtub, and as she looked up, she saw the man's long legs approaching. She shrank back and lifted her face, which was wet and dripping with water from her hair, with a fearful and guarded expression in her eyes. "You don't think it's over, do you?" Adam was like a devil, and his terrifying gaze could tear her apart in an instant.
