Chapter 6: Shadows Closing In
As the sun dipped below the horizon, Emily sought solace beneath her ancient oak tree. The tree's gnarled branches seemed to whisper secrets in the wind, but Emily's thoughts were consumed by the menacing messages.
"I feel like I'm being watched," Emily whispered to the tree, her voice trembling. "The messages are getting creepier, and Henry's jealousy is suffocating me."
The air seemed to thicken, as if the shadows themselves were coalescing into a presence. The ancient spirit materialized, its eyes blazing with an otherworldly intensity.
"I have been waiting for you, Emily," the spirit hissed, its voice like a rusty gate. "You are in grave danger. The messages are just the beginning."
Emily's heart racing, she listened as the spirit revealed a dark conspiracy. Someone in Oakwood was stalking her, watching her every move.
