Chapter 10: Desperate Search and Sinister Revelations
A week had passed since Sophie last saw Emily. At first, Sophie thought Emily was just avoiding her, but as the days went by, Sophie's concern grew. She asked around, but no one had seen Emily.
Sophie's unease turned to panic. She knew something was terribly wrong. She decided to investigate Emily's disappearance, scouring the town for any clues.
Meanwhile, Emily woke up in a strange location, surrounded by masked figures. Their voices were muffled, but one voice sent shivers down Emily's spine. It was familiar, yet she couldn't quite place it.
As Emily struggled to remember, The Shadow appeared, its presence filling the room.
"You're wondering why you're here," The Shadow said, its voice low and mysterious. "You're here because you're in danger, Emily. Oakwood is not what it seems."
The Shadow revealed its true intentions: to protect Emily from the sinister forces lurking in Oakwood.
