Chapter 2: The Strange Notes
Emily's life seemed perfect, but beneath the surface, she was starting to feel a sense of unease. It began with small things: a misplaced book, a strange glance from a classmate, a faint feeling of being watched.
At first, Emily brushed it off as mere paranoia, but as the days went by, the sensations intensified. She started receiving strange notes in her locker, on her car windshield, and even in her backpack.
The notes were always the same: a single sentence, typed on plain white paper, with no indication of who might have written it.
"You're being watched."
Emily tried to ignore the notes, but they were starting to unnerve her. She confided in Sophie, who was skeptical but supportive.
"Dude, it's probably just some prankster," Sophie said. "Don't worry about it."
But Emily couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off.
As the strange notes continued to appear, Emily started to feel like she was losing her grip on reality.
Little did she know, the notes were only the beginning.
Henry's jealousy was simmering, Alex's unrequited love was growing, and the darkness that lurked beneath Oakwood's idyllic surface was starting to stir.
