Chapter 2 - System

Looking at the clearly visible white spots on his arms, Abel knew he was no exception.

It seemed that the opportunity to live again had already consumed all his luck.

And what was worse, even if he had crossed over a few days earlier, he could have still found a way to escape with his parents and slowly seek a cure.

But it was too late now. To conceal the secret, the world government had allowed Frevans to be almost completely destroyed in the war, and his parents had inevitably perished alongside everyone else at the hands of the invaders.

And the nuns who had been deceived, and the innocent children who had died by gunfire...

Even though they were just memories, Abel couldn't help but clench his fists subconsciously.

After all, with the fusion of memories, there was no longer a distinction between "you" and "me," only one name remained: Gustaves Abel!

He felt the pain of their losses deeply.

Sooner or later, he would seek justice for his parents and everyone who had died in Frevans!

However, this was a long-term goal. At this stage, he lacked the ability and resources to pursue it.

"The top priority now is to escape as soon as possible. Although I have temporarily acclimated to the smell here, if those soldiers discover me, I suppose I will have to cross over again soon... if such an opportunity even exists."

After muttering to himself, Abel attempted to stand up but immediately tumbled back from the pile of corpses.

His condition was already precarious. He hadn't eaten or drunk anything for an extended period, and the recent violent vomiting had left him dizzy and extremely weak.

"Damn it!"

Abel managed to sit up, leaning against a dead body, and gasped for breath. The intense hunger and weakness were assaulting his brain.

In this state, escaping undetected and crossing the border was a near impossibility.

He needed to regain some physical strength.

But the unfortunate reality was that there was neither food nor water available, and the longer he delayed, the greater the risk of encountering those soldiers!

"Damn it, since we've even encountered the phenomenon of time travel, shouldn't there be something like a golden finger?"

As soon as the words left his mouth, a voice suddenly echoed in his mind.

[Congratulations! The order system has been bound, and the newcomer's gift package has been successfully distributed. Please check your inventory.]

"Pray for order system?"

After confirming that he wasn't hallucinating near-death, Abel immediately cheered up.

Sure enough, time travel was incomplete without cheats!

This could potentially change his current dire situation.

So, he immediately summoned the system with his mind and checked it.

The system interface was very simple, consisting of [Character], [Order], [Mall], and [Package] tabs.

Clicking on the "Character" tab revealed the following:

[Host: Gustavers Abel]

[Elementary Trading Qualification]

[Gender: Male]

[Age: Ten years old]

[Height: 140cm]

[Weight: 25.5kg]

[Life: 5 years and 21 days]

[Talent: None]

[Ability: None]

[Trading Points: 0]

. . . . . .

Although Abel was slightly disappointed by the lack of [Talent] and [Ability], he accepted it.

After all, aside from his good looks in his previous life, he hadn't possessed any exceptional talents.

He hadn't expected that after time travel, he would still be a "good-for-nothing," except for his good looks... Oh no, he was a boy now.

However, he believed that things would be different this time.

The premise was that he had to find a way to extend his lifespan.

It was acceptable to start in a challenging environment, but with only 5 years allotted to him, a haze of uncertainty clouded Abel's heart.

So, he quickly checked the other functions of the system.

Finally, let him figure out the specific method of using the golden finger.

[Order] contained two items: "Receive Order" and "Release Order."

He possessed an Elementary Trading Qualification, granting him one free "search" every 72 hours. Through this "search," he could acquire a "wish order" from another world through the system.

By completing these orders, he could earn trading points and even receive special rewards.

The number of free "searches" could not be accumulated, but those purchased using transaction points or obtained through other means could be accumulated and retained.

The "Post Order" option was currently dimmed and inactive, requiring him to attain an Intermediate Trading Qualification before use.

After deciphering this information, Abel immediately accessed the system's [Package] tab and opened the newcomer's gift package.
