Chapter 10 - Echoes Of The Demon World (II)

"What did you say?!" Xoraxys' voice sent fear through all the demons within the demon world both low ranking and high ranking demons.

"The human says he won't honor your invitation my Lord." Voriath replied calmly on his knees.

"What insolence! I was preparing to give him an easy death but he chooses to defy the order of a king!" Xoraxys exclaimed.

"It will be best if my king calms down. We do not want to suffer any more cracks to the demon world."

Xoraxys calmed down. "Yes, you're right."

"What do you suppose we do my king?" Voriath asked.

"I believe my advisers would be in a better position to answer that."

"Thank you my king." Lyriath answered. "I believe we should begin a full siege on the human world."

"That would take years Lyriath. The human world is vast and it would take a considerable amount of power to do so." Xanereth added.

"Lord Xanereth is correct. The human in question knows about this as well. He said something about him currently living his one millionth life." Voriath revealed.

"His one millionth life?!" The others including the demon king exclaimed in surprise.

"Yes, that was what he told me. And he was surprisingly confident about it as well." Voriath added.

"That's interesting. Which means he has lived in one million of the parallel worlds." Xoraxys said whilst stroking his chin.

"It seems so my king." Lady Lyriath chipped in.

"Then we attack hia current world." Xanereth contributed. "He won't have affiliations to the other worlds so we should have no trouble eradicating the world where he currently exists."

"A great idea." Xoraxys exclaimed. "Voriath, prepare the troops. We have a world to destroy."

JARDEL CONTINENT

Asher lay still, he looked towards the ceiling. He couldn't sleep throughout the remainder of the night as he thought about Princess Aethera and the kiss she planted on his lips.

Why did she have to do that?! His thoughts flew as he felt the heat flow into his face. He got up and went to the bathroom stationed inside his room. He washed his face and freshened up, as soon as he got out of the room, he saw an interesting sight.

"What's going on?!" Asher asked as the intriguing sight he saw was Prince Arin sitting beside his door.

"Well, nothing much. I just came to tell you that I'm watching you." Arin said, a little bit of anger in his voice.

"Watching me?!"

"Yes, I saw my sister run out of your room and she was flustered when she saw me."

"Well it doesn't mean you should start watching me. I didn't do anything."

"I still have my eyes on you. In fact I'll have my eyes on both of you, the both of you are acting suspicious."

"Have it your way." Asher said as he walked away towards the dining room. Breakfast was served and everyone was seated at the table.

Asher turned to look at Aethera who's face turned red the moment her eyes met with his. King Aaron observed both of them and then laughed.

"Impressive Asher Blackwood. You've managed to win my daughter's heart." King Aaron laughed.

"F-Father?! It's nothing like that!" Princess Aethera exclaimed, her face was as red as a rose and she felt the heat pour into her face.

"You don't have to deny it. I saw you walk out of his room last night." Arin chipped in.

"W-what do you mean by that?!" Princess Aethera shouted.

Asher sighed and put his head in his hands, he raised his head up and continued eating.

This sooner I'm done eating, the sooner I'll get out of here.

He kept on chugging down on his food as he attempted to be done with eating as fast as possible. Breakfast was over, everyone had to get prepared for their respective works.

Asher, Arin and Aethera prepared for school and were taken by the carriage. All eyes were on Asher the moment he stepped down from the carriage, whispers flew around like wildfire and heads turned as he made his way to class.

"So… how did it go?" Victor asked as he and Asher made their way to their room.

"It went well actually." Asher replied absentmindedly.

"And from other rumors, they say the Palace was attacked. Is it true?"

"There's nothing to worry about now is there? As you can see we're all fine and kicking so there's no need to worry."

"Well, if you say so." Victor opened the door and the both of them walked in.

"Well, they did serve good food. That's one good thing they have. The King and Queen are very hospitable people that's why I stayed the entire weekend instead of one night." Asher explained.

"Yeah. That's just how it is. They've been known as kind people over the years and this proves it doesn't it?"

"Yeah."

At that moment they heard a sound of an explosion.

"What's going on?!" Victor exclaimed.

"Asher ran towards the window and looked out and up in sky he saw the same thing he had seen when he was at the palace. The void in the sky was visible for all to see it was as large as a cloud and demons poured through from within.

"What are those?" Victor asked, his fear evident.

"Demons." Asher said as he jumped out the window and stood just below the void in the sky. The demon he had seen at the palace was still floating close to the void, staring down at Asher.

"I told you before human. There's nowhere for you to hide, we know where you are and where you will be." Voriath declared.

"That doesn't sound right. Either way, withdraw your troupes or suffer the consequences." Asher replied.

"Still insolent!" Voriath said and as soon as he said that, he was in front of Asher who wa

s able to block in time, their clash sending stone and debris into the air.

"Know your place, human."
