ASHER BLACKWOOD
I kept on attacking with my body clad in flames, Voriath's body was much more durable after he had let out that surge of mana which seemed to have been an increase in power.
I attacked again, with more precision this time. The ripples and distortions becoming more evident if they hadn't been before.
"This is bad." I muttered to myself as I kept on matching his attacks pound for pound. The intensity of our attacks were of universal proportion.
"Can't you see human?" Voriath said. "This is a battle you can't win."
My eyes shone brightly as I released my aura in such a way that it expanded like a balloon.
Voriath stopped moving, more like he couldn't move. I stopped time within the space I had created and moved towards him nonchalantly.
I felt a slight tingle as it seems the space I had created was shattering and Voriath's body exuded an intense amount of mana, destroying both the space and my time stop.
"Did you really think that would hold me?" Voriath asked, his voice dripping with anger and frustration.
"Well, I had hoped it would but it didn't." I replied rather sarcastically.
Voriath sighed, the sigh seemed like a sign of what was to come. He opened his hand and an ambient amount of mana gathered within. He closed his eyes as if to concentrate while I just watched.
"Static Void." Voriath closed his hand. The void around us disappeared, I looked at my hands and saw that they were starting to dissipate as well.
The entirety of the void was erased and that was the same thing that was happening to me at this very moment.
'No! No! No!' I screamed at myself as my body continued evaporating.
I gathered all the mana I could but somehow it just wouldn't work, it didn't seem to work. I calmed myself and then let out a sudden outburst of mana. My aura dispelled the technique Voriath had used to erase the void bringing my body back to how it was.
"You withstood my erasure with just your mana aura alone?" Voriath exclaimed his surprise was evident on his face and in his trembling voice.
I walked towards him, my eyes were glowing radiantly as my body was enveloped in otherworldly mana.
The mana around my body was dark and about the same as the one Voriath had used for his spell.
I gathered that ominous mana in my hands and attacked Voriath with it. He weaved and dodged as if his entire life depended on it - well, it did.
I continued throwing punches shocked at how I was still able to move in a place that was completely empty with no concepts at all. Then I remembered that the Nirguna existed and then I smirked as I kept on attacking.
My punches started to hit. I hit him at insanely fast speeds with 20 punches hitting in a second. Any part of his body I touched with that ominous mana, was erased it dissipated into nothingness.
"Hahahaha! What you do doesn't matter. Some of the parallel worlds in the human world have already been eradicated and with that, the human world will fall." Voriath declared as his entire body disappeared.
My mind raced to my next course of action. I'd have to use that sort of magic now as I stared around at the infinite expanse of nothingness.
I closed my eyes in order to concentrate, the mana gathered around me and then I let it expand like a balloon with air being pumped into it.
The entire void was recreated and with my near infinite mana, I would be able to recreate the other worlds that had been destroyed in our battle.
But even then, with my usage of World Creation Magic to recreate the void I had been able to stabilize the worlds.
I would have to take care of that at a different time, I opened a portal with a wave of my hand and walked through it.
I appeared a few houses before the Academy, most of the houses in the vicinity were destroyed because of the battle between humans and demons and because I killed Voriath, I was certain that it wasn't over.
AETHERA JARDEL
Seeing Asher walk through the doors made my heart jump for joy, relief swept over me as I ran to hug him. The entire school was shocked at my excessive show of emotion but I didn't care, I was happy he was still alive.
"Where were you?" I cried with my head buried in his chest.
"I had something to take care of. I'm here now so there's no need for you to keep on crying." He said as he patted my head.
I smiled and then I released him from the hug as Victor came to us. Victor jumped on him and started bawling his eyes out.
"Where the hell did you go?!" Victor screamed at the top of his voice, I chuckled as I noticed the affection he had for his friend in his voice.
"As I said before, I had some important business to take care of." Asher replied, still smiling.
ASHER BLACKWOOD
The affection they showed me was expected, but I didn't expect the entire school to be in the vicinity.
I didn't like this sort of attention, I prefer when these sort of things are done in secret.
I walked towards the room Victor and I shared, although I wasn't tired by any means, I just wanted to sit down and process everything that had happened.
I walked in and sat down on my bed while the other two walked in as well. I could see that they were curious about my silence but they decided not to say anything to me.
"If you guys have any questions, you can ask them now." I said to the both of them.
Aethera was the first to speak up, the tears were still flowing from her eyes. "What were those tremors?"
"I can't explain that." I said. "Even I don't know what they were." I
knew it wasn't right to lie to them but lying was the only way to make them not worry.
