Sadly i was prevented from going to the forest, and before I knew it I was seven years old, only three years to go before the awakening ritual, but our older siblings had gone through the rite only to get the villager job and become a bit dejected to know they were destined to live in this village forever.
But since they had been appraised, this gave me the chance to escape, with the three now destined for village life they began to apprentice under the other villagers and started working towards the raising of their own homes, and setting up agreements to till their own fields.
This left myself and the other three as the most senior at the orphanage which mean we were the rule makers!
I hadn't been idle these last few years, spending almost all my waking hours hunting down every bug I could find in the village, and thanks to that my status had risen quite a bit.
But even still I hadn't managed to unlock a third job still being limited to the two I already possessed.
[Nameless]
Job: Villager Lvl 20 | Farmer Level 13
Special Points: 0
Ability: [Reset] | Appraisal | 2nd Job | Exp x10 | 1/10 Exp
My collective level had risen to 33 which I could spend on bumping up my experience gain skills another level which would net me greater growth and now that I was free to run away from the orphanage I could freely slip into the forest and look for a monster, like a slime which should allow me to grow up explosively!
But sadly my 'freedom' was short lived, since the minute I tried to slip away my siblings tagged along.
"Why are you guys following me?"
"Cause, Sister said you'd get yourself into trouble if we didn't?"
Guh!
Sister your still getting in my way towards greatness.
"Fine whatever but don't blame me if any of you get hurt."
My curt response shocked them since they didn't know where I was going but as I left the fields behind and started to approach the forest my brother once more tried to stop me by grabbing my arms, while my sister shot forward arms spread barring my advance.
"Nuh uh! No way are you going in there."
"I mean of course I am, why else would I come all the way out here?"
"But bro, it's dangerous in there, you'll only find your death."
"You gotta listen to what Sister told us! We can't go into the forest till after our awakening!"
Urgh
Exerting a little of my strength I threw of my acosters resulting in them landing on they butts to my sides then with a single vault I jumped over my obstructing sister before racing off into the forest.
But those simpletons!
They just couldn't leave well enough alone and chased after me, ignoring their own words of caution as they entered the forest all for my sake...
*Sigh*
Having to temper myself I knew aside from letting them fall to their deaths I didn't have a choice but to let them tag along.
Picking up my legendary cyprus stick from the forest floor and giving it a few test swings, hearing as my wooden blade (Stick) cut through the air.
The boys likewise found makeshift weapons, mainly another stick, and a wooden branch to serve as a club, while my sister found a staff like branch that could serve as a polearm.
Now 'equipped' we proceed on, though I did get grilled hard almost to the point of agreeing to go back after we 'fought' even one thing.
Luckily I didn't need to wait long before we found our first monster.
[White Fur Rabbit]
A rabbit monster!
I'd prefer if it was a slime but a rabbit shouldn't be to bad should it?
Entering battle mode I charged the monster with my sword and began swinging for the fences!
The others joined in, and well we were outclassed.
Even as a combined level 33 this beast was better than me.
the only thing that saved us was the fact it was four on one.
Each of us got tackled and bitten by the beast but in the end our numbers brought about the beasts fall.
And upon it's death the body disappeared and in it's place was a small bundles of leaves and a patch of white fur.
[White Rabbit Fur Swatch] | [Rabbit Meat]
These were the drops for a White Rabbit, a palm sized piece of fur, along with a 7oz sized cut of rabbit meat.
We were bruised but victorious and none was more elated than myself, this battle alone got me an increase of one villager level and two farmer levels, meanwhile looking at the others, each of them gained a level as well.
Since I had more points I invested in some low cost ones mainly, [Party], [Party Customization], and lastly [Chant Reduction 1/2].
Then once chosen I turned to the three who were doubled over panting and recovering from the battle.
"Shift and turn, form as one to strike!" [Party Formation]
Using my newest Special skills I cast the party formation spell one usable according to the visiting adventurers and explorers to form a party when in a party you can find your party members no matter where they are, and it allows shared experience or at least that's what believed since everyone in a party grows the same as opposed to just travelling together which would net individual sums of exp earned.
The others soon noticed the change as it was almost like as they looked to the ground that they could 'sense' the others around them.
None of them knew I had foribly made us all join a party together but it was for the best.
Since also had [Party Customization] I could see what jobs they all had, but just like me they only had Farmer and Villager, and well the gain from Villager was better so I left them all as that.
